No signature images is a wee bit of a bummer for me considering that I use Photoshop to make just those at other boards, but it's no big loss.  The post content is more important, after all, and things tend to look cleaner without them.

I think sig images are cool if you can somehow cap them...but thats like impossible...and if a sig banner is more than 100 pixels high it bugs the living hell out of me.

I actually despise anyting bigger than 400x100, and I'm a fan of using 400x60...although most want bigger ones.  The worst possible size, though, is something that has a 2:1 size ratio...very ugly.

I made an awesome sig image for another forum (which I rarely post on now).  Shame I can't use it here.  Miyaa, miyaaaaaaaa!

But I understand why PGC are against them....

i despise sig images.  they make it a pain in the arse to browse through the posts, and they're not very easy on the eyes.  your signature should never take up more room than you post.  just a thought.
