Title: Your Suggestion. Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire??

Hi, I'm pokemon newbie. After seing Ruby and Sapphire for I while, I've see no difference on game play and story (it's actually same). in fact the storyline similar with other pokemon game (GBA or GC) : crystal , greenleaf, red, blue etc. CMIIW (i just saw them for a while). What are others difference excepts the pokemon type? which one should I play ?
