Title: Only the Best?
Post by: SLIVER on February 06, 2004, 09:55:22 AM
When a game usually gets cancelled for Gamecube I used to get mad. Just today I noticed that only the stupidest games get cancelled for Gamecube and ONLY THE BEST go on the Gamecube. I think one of the best games to be cancelled for GC is the GTA series and Driver3, I would have really enjoyed GTA on GC. GC=GTA: Sin City" I hope". Here is a list of crappy game cancelled on the Gamecube.List some of your own I missed. Plus Nintendo fans only play The Best game, example- soul calibur 2, prince of pesia, splinter cell, wind waker, m prime, ssb: melee

Crappy games cancelled for Gamecube-

-Celebrity Death Match= whew, thank god

-The Suffering= a Dead to Rights copy with monsters, and too much blood

-Sega sports games= have you ever played sega nba 2002!! stupid!!

-Dare Devil game= I smelled an Aqua-Man type game here!

-Psyops=Seems like a Geist copy to me

-Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness= thank god!!

-List more

Dude usually not all those kind of games just totally suck.  At first anyone can think Prince of Persia or Beyond Good and Evil cancelled for the GCN can suck but since they're not cancelled and we can play them they don't suck.  Also the amount of real video game players out there are like the D&D players out there.  They're like underground.  Back then 100,000 copies of a game sold was the norm.  Now we have a majority of players that only talk about GTAIII, GTAVC, and a game thats really violent and gory.  They probably easily put Suffering up there with RE.  Nintendo needs these games crappy or not for those casual gamers and their teenybopper likes.  Its what it needs to survive, atleast in the console part of it.

*Hurls pudding at SUPER*
no u hav so much to live for, lol kawaii feel better soon! ^___~ *huggles*

Was Tomb Raider even announced for GameCube? No, no, nothing about this adds up at all! Erm, ALF Live 2003 and 2004 were cancelled on GameCube, despite Acclaim getting all mega sorry when they cancelled the 2003 version. "Oh we promise you'll get 2004, dudes"

And who can forget Futurama being canned on GC? I CAN'T. >=O

Gadzooks!  He's trading in his paper bag mask for a plastic one... with no eye holes.

You can talk all you want about how most cancelled games on the Cube are crap but you have to remember that "crap" is a relative term... unless you're talking about literal fecal matter in which case it's a factual term.  Anyway what's crap to you may not be crap to someone else and the lack of a certain title could turn them away from the Cube.  You never know what's going to be a hit regardless of quality.  I would rather have more crappy games on the Cube if it meant I got some more good stuff as well.  Cancellations of only one version of a game always sucks.  Ideally you want as much variety in a game library as possible.
