Title: Bush ads
Post by: Squiggles the Chao on January 29, 2004, 06:49:05 PM
I don't know guys, doesn't seem like the most effective use of advertising space. How many PGC regulars actually vote?

Doesn't really matter. Political advertisements on either side are bound to alineate about half of the readers. If you're not reaching voters, the revnue from such ads are really not worth decreased readership.

Eh, I don't give a rat's <cenc0rdz> about Bush. The guy is a complete chimp as far as I'm concerned, and I doubt that advertisments could change that.
Although, I do live in Toronto, and have thus not seen such advertisments...they may be more convincing than I assume.

Topics on politics aren't allowed here...
(I'll just flip in my opinion while I'm here, however...While I don't think Bush is too great, the Democratic candidates are far worse...)

PGC doesn't control what ads are displayed. I do agree, though, that political ads are best not placed on a gaming site, and whoever DOES do the ad placements for the site should realize it.

People who complain about the government should f###ing join politics and make it better already! C'mon, it's not THAT hard, is it?

I vote in every election, even the municipal ones. Personally I think living in a democracy and not voting is a big "f*ck you" to people who live in dictatorships. The fact that anyone doesn't vote in federal elections just boggles my mind.
However I will not be voting in this coming election. Why? Because I'm Canadian.

I hope that when you say that, you're Canadian, and you're making a friendly joke. If you're not, then you are one misinformed person, and I give my scorn to the parents that dropped you into a pot of acid when you were a newborn.

Yeah, silly. Canadians vote for hockey players.
I don't like politics. It's boring, so I just dance and stuff.

Politics in England is good at the moment because half of parliament is with the prime minister and half isn't so we have lots of shouting.

Oh hey, political discussions are not allowed. And please stop asking us why we put "such and such ad" on here. We don't have much to do with the process.
