Title: New Tales Game announced.

It seems that two new Tales games have been announced one for the Gamecube and the other for the PS2.
They are both sequals of the ones that were on the respective consoles.
There names are:
Tales of Legendia (Gamecube)
Tales of Truthia (PS2)

I look throught the entire history before posting and I didn't see the thread on the Tales of Symponia, so I made this one.

Oh theres one for the GBA and a fan disk for the PSOne.

The sequels are already being planned, and we haven't gotten Tales Of Symphonia yet.....sniffle

Yep, found about this a couple days ago... to Namco...

Hopefully we get the new GBA one and Phantasia some time...  

(The interesting thing is that Nintendo may publish Legendia and the GBA game themselves)

With Nintedo doing the publishing of the GCN and GBA Tales games, I wonder if we have better odds of the games going out of Japan.  We are getting Symphonia so I hope we get Legendia too.

For a while, the Tales series left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Why? After getting a chance to play Tales of Phantasia, my thoughts were like this

Great Graphics. Great Sound. Great Story!

SUCKY AND CUMBERSOME BATTLE SYSTEM!(sorry, just had to vent there...)

I'll give it credit for trying to be a mix of real time and turn base, but it was just sloppy in my opinion (It was done in a 2d plane). It was tolerable during regular battles, but when it came time for boss battles, I couldn't stand it.

NOW, after hearing all the buzz for Tales of Symphonia (Or should I just say Bill ) I decided to get some movies and screens on it and guess what? I'm a believer, and teed off that we have to wait until the fall (If isn't delayed anymore, see Crystal Chornicles chronology). It just looks so...right. The battle system is done in 3d, so I'm guessing it will consist of action packed battles.

And now the sequels are on the way? My question is: Will the next Tales on the 'Cube make it to the 'Cube? My prediction is that it will come out sometime in 2005 in Japan, but what about the next wave of consoles? Won't they be out by then? Or it will be released regardless?

Grrrr...I'm so angry...The release date for ToS was so perfect, coming out just weeks before summer vacation...

I still have doubts about seeing the next round of consoles come into play before late 2005(hopefully later), and that's just in Japan...If the titles get too close to the release of the new consoles, and Namco thinks that it will hurt sales, then they might even port it over to the next-gen systems...It's still too early to tell...

Just because they were just now announced doesn't mean that work just started on the games.  Remember the last two Castlevania games for the GBA were in developement pretty much at the same time.  SO my guess is that Namco has been working on the new Tales games for a while now and waited until the games had progressed some before making an announcement.  

Why announce a game you haven't started working on yet?

Delayed??? If it's coming out Q3 they might even decide to delay it until christmas for better sales... I hope that stupid bugtesting means improving the overworld.
