Title: Nintendo's new system is...
Post by: RDG on January 09, 2004, 09:58:15 AM
The "Connecti-vision."  Essentially the equivilant of the IQue for America.  A "plug and play" console that allows users to play Nintendo classics on a controller sized device.  The difference here, however, is that it will be able to download games over a wireless network.  Very cool.

Didn't some repeatedly banned "Agent"  mention "downloading games" and "wireless connections" over and over again?  Just go back to his old posts and check for his cryptic clues.  He essentially said this a year ago. This is stuff that rulers of this stie didn't even know.  (In my opinion, they know very little.  Probably why this site and forum are dying out.)

And you're him, arent you?

Many people have said many things about what the new product will be.  In fact, if you go through enough of my threads, you'll see i mentioned it as well.  And so did 100 other people.  BUT, throwing enough sh!t at a wall to see what sticks does not constitute inside knowledge.

Not him ,just a supporter.

Anyway, he mentioned what this machine was and what it did specifically many times.  Not just throwing BS out there and trying to take credit afterwards.

I believe wireless downloads were mention, by him, over and over again, and still no one got the clues.  Nobody else here knew a thing about that.

I don't think this is the new console.  Nintendo says it will be revolutionary, and in a recently released statement, was called a "third pillar" among the GameCube and the GBA.  Considering that they iQue is already announced to be coming to the West.  I really doubt that these two are one and the same.

The name "Connecti-vision" has recently been registered by Nintendo themselves.

If you have the ability, why don't you check for yourself.

As far as "everyone's" opinion of Agent 7, I know quite well that he had MANY fans here.
Fans who were sick of all the selfrighteous fanboys telling us all "what's wrong with Nintendo" and the endless "nintendo is doomed" threads.

Off topic, I also know that many of Agt 7's fans were driven away from this site by the same fanboys mentioned above.

Oh and by the way, I'm right about the new system.

Give it up, Agent- the last people "professing" to be Agent's fans turned out to be Agent himself. Next time you want to post here again after being banned 4 times, you might want to tone down the anti-Sony sentiment and not mention your first name at all.

Although I did write an editorial I think even you would like- go figure.

Hey Mouse, did you even bother to verify my information?  Or were you too busy writting another 10 page "whats wrong with Nintendo" thesis?

I stand by my information.  Plus, if you look, this forum has far fewer members than it did before.

Again, I am right about the new system.  Why don't you check and see.

As for the fans of AGT 7, they were real and in great number.  Plus many of them have gone on to greener pastures.

Agent, stop trying to act like you're someone new- the simple fact you hate me does very little to promote your little charade.

As for my "what's wrong with Nintendo's thesis", when I get pissed off about people bashing Nintendo, I don't just bitch about it to people I've hastily targeted as fanboys. Get a life man- it's only a matter of time before you as well are banned, along with your other 5 names, as I have now learned.

Did you bother to verify my information?  Or are you just ranting, yet again?

Nintendo's new system is called "Connectivision."  Although I am slightly miss-spelling the name.
The name was recently registered by Nintendo.  If you have the skills, why don't you check for yourself, instead of whinning.

It will be somewhat like IQue, only games will be downloaded from a network, rather than at your local store.

Prove me wrong.  Put up or shut up.

I am right about the new console.  Why dont you ask the founders of this site.?  I'm sure they know by now.

Odd, when I finally prove I'm not a Sony fanboy, that I'm a more devoted Nintendo fan than Agent could ever be, he suddenly wants to talk about his little Connectivision again.

For your information, Agent, it's already been proven, in a way. What makes many of us skeptical is the fact that the patent NOA put out on just such a product is almost 2 years old now, and looks like they were just dispelling the possibility of someone beating them to the punch in the North American market. Even so, all you have to go on, Agent, is your word, which is hardly trustworthy. I think you should be the one to prove your information rather than making a wild claim you expect us to believe, then telling us to dissprove you when we don't.

"As for the fans of AGT 7, they were real and in great number."

Forumers have fans?  Does that mean I also have fans or is it that everybody has fans except me and that's why I never noticed this before?

Although I have no idea where the name Connectivision came from it has been speculated in a lot of places (including on this forum) that Nintendo's new system is some sort of retro gaming machine.  Downloadable content has been speculated for a while.  So this isn't like anything new or a "big scoop" or something.

One thing that bugs the hell out of me is if Nintendo is willing to have downloadable content over a network why the HELL are they so down on online gaming.  It seems silly to build the stucture for one and not the other.

Structure schmructure- it's much easier and cheaper to set up a website hosting downloads than an entire network to connect consoles all around the world. Presumably this downloadable content will be accessible with a computer.

Meh, the point is that they have already spent the money to implement something that will probablly be less profitable in the end, when they could be doing something that will take more losses at first at the same time, but will end up making more money.

I hardly see the Ique as inevitably losing money- honestly, I can't see how Nintendo won't make a huge profit off of it, very soon if not immediatley after launch. Online play won't be profitable for years to come, while the Ique, or at least its concept, appears to be profitable in the here and now.

except when it gets pirated to hell?

Keep in mind, the Gamecube has been pirated only through Phantasy Star Online, the Gamecube's sole online game. Also keep in mind the Ique was originally released in China to counter piracy- obviously Nintendo has some plan for it.
