Madden takes up a whole stack of memory (depending on how many modes you save) and you may need a 251 just for it. I don't have exact numbers because 1 I don't own the game and 2 most review sites just bag the large amount of memory required, instead of giving any details.

ASB 2003 is quoted as a minimum 151 blocks for a season save, and ASB 2004 requires a minimum of 240 blocks.

So... You pretty much need to buy a 251 just for ASB. That's scary on many levels. Mainly level three. Elevator Action rocked.

I went over to DVDEmpire.com to check the details (they usually list how many blocks game data uses and/or you can view an image of the back of the box)...

All Star Baseball 2003: 59 or 251 (I guess it depends on what mode you are saving)
All Star Baseball 2004: 221
Madden 2003: 59
Madden 2004:  185

251 is mandatory when speaking about sports games.  My Madden 2004 takes 136 blocks.  Thats just for Franchise mode.  I believe to play ASB in owner mode, its all 251.

madden 2004 takes up 185 blocks to save your franchise. you've also got 27 blocks for the EA Sports Bio (which is a great addition) 2 blocks for each user profile, and 3 blocks to save custom settings.

EA sprots needs a good swift kick in the nuts for not making thier games more memory friendly. The numbers are just plain ludicrous and IMO could be made much smaller with a little effort.

Exactly its abysmal like Eidos needed a kick in the balls for making a Hitman 2 Save 59 blocks. Anyways remember the PSX N64 Era where sports games took mere blocks and such why doesnt programmers  somehow find a way to use smaller block useage.

One of many reasons I don't play sports games.

Yeah i love sports games and i pay  up the ying-yang for mem cards. I have my memory card 59 for animal crossing, then i have one memory card 251 for all non-sports game and then i have 1 251 for sports games so i can only play one sports game at a time.  It stinks but i dont feel like buying another 251, i cant seem to figure out how to hit on ASB anyway.
