Title: Gran Turismo "style" racing sim for Gamecube
Post by: spankaccount on December 09, 2003, 08:21:10 PM
Is there any hope?  I miss Gran Turismo sooo much I'm considering buying a PS2.

Anyone have recommendations for racing games for the Gamecube?

No. Buy a PlayStation 2 and get GT3.
As for Cube games, well there's a huge lack of realistic racers, just like the Nintendo 64. Not that I care for them. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is a must, as is Burnout 2.

Lies! R Racing Evolution just came out like yesterday, and it's got a lot in common with GT3, although I tried to review it by itself as much as I could without just making it a GT3 comparison article.

Yes, I read an article in cube magazine that R Racing Evolution is basically just like GT3.  I don't care too much for racers myself but the images in the magazine looked pretty impresive.

I played Need For Speed Underground yesterday and was pretty darn good, easy to play, controlled great and looked even better

I was aware of R: Racing Evolution.  However it's being panned by *most* of the critics...   I guess I should still rent it and check it out.
