Title: Gamecube on my computer
Post by: starkat2k on November 28, 2003, 09:17:33 AM
Hi everyone,
I don't have a TV, and I want to buy a Gamecube, and connect it to my computer with an s-video cable. My video card has s-video inputs and outputs on it.
My question is: how will I be able to view the image on my computer? Is there a program or utility I can find that I can use to watch it on my computer?
Before any of you suggest it - I do not want to just use a signal adaptor and use my monitor as a display, it's too expensive and too much stuff, I just want to find some software or some way to do this.
Please help! This will influence whether or not I buy a Gamecube
thanks starkat

It's a Gainward GeForce4 Ti4800 SE
it has the standard VGA port, S-Video, and a DVI connector.

There should be a program that came withthe card to be able to view video input. I checked on the TI4800's on Gainwards site and none of them specifically mentioned S-Video out. But that does not mean it doesn't support it and just wasn't mentioned. Just be sure to double check that it is an input port and not output. This question should go in here though: Technical Discussion.

cool, thanks. I'll take a look.
I do know it's VIVO, which sometimes causes problems when playing DVDs on my computer (when it glitches out)
