N-Gage security compromised
Quote

The security settings on Nokia Corp.’s N-Gage mobile-phone/video-game device may have been breached, allowing hackers to play N-Gage games on other devices using the same operating system and possibly selling the games over the Internet.

good news for the six people in the world who want to play n-gage games without buying the system/games.

on a side note, i feel like mario.  (the pgc forum user, not the beloved nintendo mascot.)
being the first to post obscure news from a website no one has ever heard of feels kinda good.

YES! Now I can get all the greatest games for FREE! Hey I just realized I have NO idea what games are on this thing. Do me a favor and DON'T enlighten me on the matter.

Serves them right though. Didn't they say that people who play GBA are losers or something? That was SO professional of them.

Nice find, Kingvudu.

I'm actually surprised that anyone would be stupid enough to think they could make money selling n-Gage games...

I think, so far, they've gotten Sonic to run.

The real intriguing thing here is, could they whip up an emulator for the NES, SNES, Genesis, GameBoy, etc, for the N-Gage?

Well I would assume they could, but the screen would be the biggest barrier. If I remember right there is not enough horizontal pixels for the width of the GBA/SNES/Gensis screen?

And the N-Gage has been out how long?  About a month.  This is very sad.  Funny, but sad.  Obviously Nokia overlooked some stuff more than what has already been talked about.

I don't know why seeing Nokia constantly fail is so funny but it is.  Maybe it's because big companies who try to break into the game market without doing any research deserve to fail.

Though if you think about it this isn't really that big of a deal.  Who the hell wants to pirate N-Gage games anyway?  All of those game are available in better forms on the PS1 or GBA.

i think it's the ability to be able to play these games on your "regular, average-joe" cell phone, that's interesting.
would i play monkey ball on my pc?  no.  would i play it on my cell phone if i didn't have my gameboy handy?  yup.
