It's really up to EA Sports and it is a good possibility but I doubt it will happen this generation for nintendo. Next generation will be a must because more and more people are getting broadband!

Basically it looks like all the games that have/will have LAN play will be online also, thanks to the guys at the warppipe project, and the xlink project. These are tunnel apps, putting the Cube online, while making it believe it's on a LAN. So yeah, there will be online games, including Mario Kart: Double Dash!!.

You mean RPGs? So far I know of Sega's PSO, episodes I & II, and III is coming... Otherwise LAN <-> internet tunneling is real online, just not using proprietary servers, for doing stuff that's supposed to be p2p, that's about the only difference. And it's not released yet, should be in beta status by the time MK: DD is out...

GC has the biggest drought in online play.......Xbox is where it's at with online gaming right now.

The PC is still the best as far as online games go. It's free and there many more choices of online games than X-Box and PS2.

The Zombie Luke is absolutly right. Xbox live really sucks. I saw less lag playing Halo on a 56K modem on PC than some of these Live games. Plus there are no really great online games for xbox anyway.
I had lag playing a guy in Capcom vs. SNK 2. How pathetic is that. There are only 2 players, using bassically SNES graphics.

^ It's obviously your connections because isn't Xbox Live P2P?

Dude, I was playing it on the Base LAN, which is faster than 99% of the people using xbox live.

Somehow I don't think zombie implied the "xbl sucks".
Which leaves me to believe your bullshitting.

Isn't PS2 the online leader, as far as consoles are concerned? I mean, having the better content (online games) and performance (in-game while online). Just wandering .. it's the impression I get, while hanging around several forums/sites...

Well I'm 80% sure that xbl exceeds the ps2 online adapter unit wise. I'd be farely sure only becuase I remember a thing being made out of it becuase it was suprising considering the size of the ps2 userbase, not to mention xbl only being available to broadband users.
As far as content, from what I have seen it has been overwhelmingly in favor of xbl.
The only people who don't really like it, are those that have no interest in online gaming at all. Which would explain why nobody you see likes it, if you haven't left a nintendo site.

Not true. I love to play Starcraft online still and Dark Age of Camelot. And Halo on the PC. The only people who really do like xbox live a lot are people that would rather play online on their xbox over a PC or don't have a PC.

Here's an interesting read on this... Note that I don't have an opinion on this topic (no ps2/xbox in my home, not even PC), just general impressions.

There main selling point to mainstream sports gamers is EA. These past few days there has been a buzz going on about EA and Microsoft resolving issues when it comes to bringing their titles online. Don't know whats true yet but it will be interesting. That'll probably be a big selling point.
I don't really agree with that artical about online content, but hey, its nothing to get worked up about.
