I've been here for over a year and half, since the Great IGN Exodus manunited speaks of. I was at IGN for about a year and a half before they locked their forums.

I was hoping to post my "forum account created" email like Bloodworth did but unfortunately I seemed to have deleted it when I cleaned up my emails a few months ago. Too bad because I had kept a lot of old emails forever.
Anyway I signed up shortly after Planet N2000 became Planet Gamecube so I think that would have been early 2001. It was before E3 for sure since I remember everyone freaking out when the first official Rogue Leader shots surfaced in a magazine about a week before.
I miss a lot of the old forum regulars that used to post when I first joined. BlkPaladin, The Perm, BlackGriffen, and Bloodworth (before he was staff) are the only guys I can think of off the top of my head that are still posting.

MC, what was my number? I have no clue how long I've been here. I think I remember the boards going through a change, although I hadn't signed up then. I assume it was the change from EZ Boards or whatev.

Indeed- it could be a bit off, since I don't remember if we had a profile from the beginning or had to make one, and if the latter it would really depend on when you made it, but seeing as I'm not magical like Ty and Daniel, I'll have to stick to my sly ways.

Title: RE:vets check in
Post by: ThePerm on November 10, 2003, 04:34:10 PM
well i may be the longest forum member whos not staff, you see back when this site started or even before then? I followed a link from the early ign to the n64hq reunion page. I think that took me to opn2000 where i joined as a member circa 1998?-1999?. Opn2000 closed shop and the forums were handed from opn2000 to planetn2000. Planetn2000 had a good run before they renamed themselves planetgamecube and then switched to ez-boards. I waited about 2 weeks before i joined ez-bpards and after that i was a frequent user. I started off really slowly but then really got entrenched again in pgc boards. Then they switched over to hear because ez-boards sucks. I joined right away this time.
Title: RE: vets check in
Post by: Bloodworth on November 10, 2003, 04:49:19 PM
OPN2000 was opened in 1999. That's pretty much the same route that I took to get here: IGN link to OPN2000, then to PlanetN2000 when the forums moved over. I've read the forums pretty much since OPN2000 started, but didn't sign up for an account for a long time since being part of the forums was like being in some secret brotherhood back then, and any sign of not knowing what you were talking about made you look like an outcast.
Title: RE:vets check in
Post by: Shift Key on November 10, 2003, 05:10:04 PM
I found PlanetN2000 some time just before IGN went down the toilet, and i kinda lurked around EZBoard as Shifty2k2.
I joined up here not at the forums inception, but as number 166 on the list. I now post way too much and have gone absolutely insane thanks to the others here! And I wouldn't have it any other way. Keep it up

Easy. Go to "profile" and check how many posts you have written. Then click on your avatar picture to see your post-per-day count. Then divide the total by this number and you'll get how many days your account has been registered. Then, of course, you just have to subtract this from today.

I joined the forums on February 10, 2003. Not sure when I first started visiting PGC, but it probably wasn't much before then.
EDIT: IceCold's formula works pretty well.
2568 posts / 2.33 posts per days / 365 days per year = 3.02 years. I joined 3 years, 6 days ago. 6 / 365 = 0.02 (rounded to nearest hundreth)

What about me? That math problem will not tell me when I first joined up, seeing as I rarely posted, and for good reason, stupid email PGC had never would send out a forgotten password, so I had to make another account. But flash forward several yrs and a Ty later, and I get my account back. heh
I seem to recall being here for awhile, I think before 2003. It's been awhile, Billy and Rick where here at the time. Perhaps Bloodworth or Ty would know the date I joined in?

Come on, Rat, what was the question that got you banned from GameFAQs?

Rat got banned from Gamefaqs? How did he manage that work of art?
I've been around these forums about as long as the Perm. Back in March 1999, after reading a Quarterman article about Dolphin I went on the Internet looking for Dolphin info. After searching the web, I found a site called OPN2000. I tried to get an account, but they never gave me one.
Shortly after OPN2000 closed I moved to PlanetN2000. From there I got an account with this very name. Of course I was banned for some time b/c of a comment in chat that I made. About a year ago I came back and someone unfroze my account. So now I'm back again...

Eh, I joined when PGC was fairly new... shortly after the site name change, if I'm not mistaken.

Heres the story bear with me, I was a frequent poster in the a Revolution, Game Cube and Sega Genesis boards, and I was knwon for starting arguments with ps fanboys who would bash Sega.Nintendo with no real sound arguments ecept the usualy BS.
Then I started to , after getting confronted by the mods, to let things go and chose only to post to threads that interested me instead of correcting the PS fanboy idiots.
THEN while over at Sega we had a brutal rip into what Nintendo did or didnt create and it got very nasty, so I took a break from Sega forums and went back to gamefaqs, so then I saw that some dumb ass who also left sega forums had started the same crap over at the revolution forums, so the war started up over there. Then I got a nother message from the mods saying watch my language and not to intice or respond to flames.
THEN i take a few days break and my stupid sister buys and xbox )not stupid for getting the box I actualy like it sof ar) but I have never seen one up toi this point outside walmart and dont knwo anything about it, so I goto xbox forums and ask some questions that I didnt knwo answers to, I was TOLD that you can save your movies, mp3 and games to your hard drive and play them back whenever you want so I asked IF this is true how do you do it, and I get flamed for steeling formt he devs and doing illegal activity (modding) and I reply WTF I am just curious fi its true if its not just say no ok it was an honest guestion, then mods ban me for asking about modding a system, and I wasnt just banned from the forums i cant ever view the website while logged in, so I am done. I treid my alternate emaila ccount and they sent me a nasty letetrs saying you were already banned so dont trya nd fool us again.

Its March 2006, wouldn't that make it your 4 year anniversary? or did the new bords start in 2003(I don't have time to look back through the post in this thread)

Woot, so I've been around for a while it seems. W(><W Rock on.
I moved over here when IGN reported that "Small site 'Planetgamecube.com' has the offical logo for the Gamecube." Those were the days. Crazy antics. Sneaking into E3 early like and all. :-) Any plans on making early runs through this year?

I joined a long time ago. I don't even remember when. I became a P.O.W and couldn't post here for a while.
