Title: GI's top 50 games of this console generation

What do you guys think of this article in the new Game Informer? For GI its not bad and i was pleased with the issue as a whole.  BUt here is the breakdown by console X-box-18 Gcube-22, and PS2-30(this includes non exclusive games that appear on all consoles).  No suprise for number 1 The Legend of Zelda the wind Waker.  GC noteables are Metroid PriME (9).  Viewtiful JOe (17).  Mario Sunshine (22), Animal Crossin (24), Resident Evil (26).  Super Smash Bros(28),  Eternal Darkness (30)  Monkey Ball (34), Pikmin (45),  and Star Wars Rouge Leader (47).  I was disappointed that Animal Crossing wasnt in the top 10, it should be, Maybe ED should be higher.  And they should of delayed this list 1 month so Mario Kart could go head to head with ZELDA  for the top spot.  Any good titles that missed the list?

No F-Zero?  Oh well, Wind Waker beats GTA and FFX so I am happy...

I don't think they included the Dreamcast, Ty, and probably considered Ikaruga for the Gamecube a port of the Dreamcast version. As great a game as it was, unfortunatley I guess GI didn't consider it to be current generation.

Wind Waker got the number one slot? From GI?! Maybe I'm thinking of GamePro, but isn't GI a Ninty bashin' machine? I agree whole-heartedly though. WW is the best game on GC. I haven't played any PS2 or XBox games so I can't make a judgment as to whether it is the best game on all 3 consoles. My instinct and Nintendo loyalism tells me that it is but I can't say that without playing the other consoles' games. Glad MP was in the top 10....too bad ED wasn't...

Yes GI, and gamepro are good nintendo bashers (GI said metroid would suck then gave it like a 9 or a 10) but they must have a soft spot of old school nintendo franchises.   Sorry i forgot Ikaruga was at 41.  And they must have forgot soul caliber cause its not in here though Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution is along with Mortla Kombateadly Alliance, and DOA 3.  I guess they think Gitaroo man is better than Soul Caliber 2.The top 10 is as follows. 10.Grand Turismo 3 9.Metroid Prime 8.Star Wars nights of the old Republic 7. Grand Theft Auto 3 6. Metal Gear Solid2:sons of liberty 5.Tony Hawks Proskater 3 4.Final Fantasy X 3. Halo  2. Grand Theft AUto  Vice City1.Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker.  The hand held top 10 is as follows 10.Street Fighter Alpha 3 9. Advance Wars 8. Super Mario Advance 4: SMB3 7. Final Fantasy Tactics Advanc 6.Mario Kart Super Circuit 5. Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance 4. Legend of Zelda A link to the Past  3.Advance Wars 2 Black Hole Rising 2. Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 1. Metroid Fusion.  Over all i think nintendo did well though i think GI should of delayed this list 1 year.

Wind Waker - 10, 10, 9.5

Did the 9.5 guy change his mind, or what?
