Title: They should make a Captain N game...

Maybe they couldn't include all the 3rd party chars, but it'd still make a really good foundation for a game. Although it could end up too similar to VJ...

We have a d-pad, we have A, B and Start buttons and I'm sure the Z-button will work as Select.
If the Captain doesn't get his own game he should at least be in the next Smash Bros game.

Hahaha, good ol' Captain N.
As long as they have a bonus level recreating the episode where they all danced to 'Thriller', I'll be happy. (GOOD EXCUSE TO RELEASE A DANCE MAT!)

Seriously though, Mega Man scared the crap out of me in that cartoon. He had such an demented burly voice.

even as a trophy, or SOMETHING. thats an awsome idea, i would buy it crap + nintendo licence + obscure = crap still, but enjoyable to people like me

The only 3rd party I remember in it is Mega Man (And the chars from that series.) So it might no be that hard to get him in it. (And it would give Capcom something else to work on.)

Simon Belmont is another 3rd party character involved. He's from castlevania from those not in the know.

also, the original Gameboy was a character in the 2nd season. if they DID make this game, they'd need to update it for the times. Captain N is just too late 80's early 90's for this generation of gamers.

they also visited a lot of different worlds that were 3rd party games. youd be looking at a game bigger in scope then Kingdom Hearts. would it be cool? probably if they did it right! they could always just use only Nintendo games in that game and just call it Captain N: Kevin's Beer Belly Years. Lana could be fat and ugly with his baby and Kid Icarus could be dead, since Nintendo refuses to do anything with him.

then theres King Hippo and those nasty nipples of his...O_o

Wow, an old license that hasn't aged well and only like ten people would be interested in!  What a stupendous idea!  Lets delay Too Human some more and have Silicon Knights work on it!

Seriously though Captain N is just too dated to even really make sense any more.  I mean that guy uses an NES lightgun.  How many gamers today would even get what that is let alone the significance of him using it?  I do however think the concept of Captain N is pretty solid.  A Kingdom Hearts-like game where someone from the real world enters the Nintendo world and interacts with Nintendo characters would be pretty cool provided it wasn't overly childish (ie: NO CELSHADING!!) and designed with longtime Nintendo fans as the target audience.

You know it depends on how the cel shading is used.  (PSO uses cel shading on a few things.)

And yeah I remember Belmont being in it now.

By cel-shading I mean I don't want any super fun happy cartoon Samus.  A style like Super Smash Bros Melee would be ideal.

Captain N was absolutely horrible...What did you have to uproot the memories of Captain N and the old LoZ cartoon from the garbage dump in my mind?  Why!?

i kinda liked the old Captain N and Mario and Zelda cartoons. in fact, i have almost the whole seasons of all of those on tape. well, i dont have a lot of the mario world cartoons, but i have just about every mario super show (with zelda) except for maybe 3-4 of them. then i have almost all the mario 3 cartoons and the first 2 seasons of captain N. the 3rd one sucked because the illustration for it changed and they only lasted 15 minutes instead of 30 like they used to.

man, now i dont remember what i was originally gonna say! so much for being on topic!

Ahhh yes, good old Captain N. One could say this how Nintendo showed their dominance of the industry by creating a character zapped into "Video Land" which was comprised solely of Nintendo. Mega Man and Belmont belonged to their respective parties of course, but wouldn't go anywhere for a while...

It brings a chuckle to my face remembering those old cartoons. Back on topic, it'd be interesting if Nintendo of America will acknowledge Captain N's existance, let alone make a game on it. If Capcom can have 'Movie Land', can Nintendo have 'Nintendo World' or something to that effect? Maybe make Captain N a middle aged-sage or something, or make an obscure reference to him somehow. Oh well, might as well keep dreaming...

That guy is like, the future of videogames right there, man.  In the future, FPS won't be played using mouse & keyboard, it'll be with lightguns, real people, empty halls, and real ducks.

Apparently those pics belong to Maboroshi Studios.  I'm a fan of Joe Croasdaile's (sp?) AMVs from back in the day.
