Title: I need to know if my computer power supply will be able to handle some extras that I want to add?
Post by: Caliban on September 15, 2003, 10:33:06 AM
I have a 12V power supply from TurboLink model LC-A350ATX. It has 350 watts available(at least that's the information I got from the net as it has no label saying it). It also has a label with P4(pentium 4 I guess). What I want to add and want to know if it will all work is: ATI RADEON 9800 PRO 128MB AGP(I know from the specs that it needs 300 watts) and an extra hard drive of 120gigs. If having the extra hard drive is too much then maybe I should consider an external hard drive. The hardrive configuration that I have now is:
RAM - Elixir 512MB DDR 266MHz Cl2.5 Gaphic Card - ATI Radeon 7000 64MB TVO Motherboard - Intel Type D845EBG2 Power Supply - 12V TurboLink model LC-A350ATX Hard Drive - WDC(western digital caviar) 40gigs Processor - Pentium 4 2.0GHz DVD ROM 16x EIDE CDRW 40x12x40 Monitor - Samsung 19 inch SyncMaster 955DF
If more information about my computer is needed then post the required info, and thanks in advance to anyone that replies.

Yes, it should be able to handle the extra burden.

I ran a GeForce 3 on an Athlon XP 1800+, with 2 CD-ROMs, and 2 Hard Drives, and 5 fans. What was my PSU? 250W.
Trust me. You have plenty of power.

Thanks for all your replies. I think I have read enough responses not only from this forum to lead me to get my new stuff.
