I'd buy that at a high price.

A filing with the US Federal Communications Commission suggests that a first party Bluetooth-powered Super Nintendo controller may be coming for Switch soon.

The filing was made available this morning, though all photographs taken as part of the testing are locked until February 6 of next year. A document showing the location of where the approval label will go was posted openly however, which confirms the shape of the device as reminiscent of a Super Nintendo controller.

Unlike the NES-themed Joy-Con controllers for the Switch, this proposed SNES controller would charge via a USB cable.

Makes sense.  If you have a Switch Lite, you have no way to charge the NES Controllers.

I suppose that's true... Ironically though, considering the button layout, D-pad inclusion, and lack of TV support, there's virtually no need to have an SNES one if you're using it for a Lite. I'd assume the vast majority of purchasers would be owners of the standard Switch. If their intent is to accomodate Lite users, they should probably just revise the NES version as the simplified button layout is actually enough of a difference to warrant a purchase for a lot more people.

Don't forget the lack of a kickstand for table top mode!

Hard to see too many Switch Lite users going for this.

Gotta use that 3DS stand for something right?
