Title: How can I know if my TV supports Progressive Scan?

I have a GL Flatron TV with component input, and when I select that input, the message [480i] appears on screen. Does this TV support Progressive Scan?, and most important, if I connect my cube using this input, all my games will still work?. I'm asking because I'm having a lot of trouble getting those d*wn component cables.

Sounds like it might not, on the 480i the 'i' stands for interlaced. Check your manual and see if your TV supports or an option for 480p, that is what the GC outputs.
You should still get the component cables though, you can still use them for interlaced signal, I do. Especially since you have a HD TV, I am envious, you REALLY need these cables. What are you using now, RCA? Please say you are not using RCA on your HD TV. S-video, that would be OK.
You may also want to check your manual and see if your TV upconverts to a progressive signal, my friends widescreen panasonic does automatically.
The best place to get the cables is directly from Nintendo, they are the cheapest and fastest way. They do not sell the cable retail.

do you also get the s-video cables from nintendo? because my tv supports s-video and obviously, or i wouldn't be asking, i dont have the s-video cable.
also is RCA the red white and yellow cables?

You can get GC S-video cables from 3rd parties, like Monster Cable, but component cables are Nintendo-exclusive. Go to store.nintendo.com to get those.

Well, looks like there's no Progressive Scan support (the TV manual never mentions it). I'm using the RCA, because this model doesn't have an S-Video input, but I have see it here. But, I live in West México (Michoacán), and it's really dificult to get anything from the major producers unless you ask for then to a electronic dealer, thing that I have already done with no luck.

You could order them from LIK Sang, they are a bit more expensive but they will deliver pretty much anywhere.

yes the RCA is the red white and yellow cables, they are the cables that shipped with your GC.
