Title: Metroid Prime Or Halo?

I was just wondering for the people that own both,which one do u guys think is better?

Metroid Prime= better one-player experience
Halo= better for multiplayer experiences

Really? I'm the opposite- I loved Halo's single player to death, but it's multiplayer was so boring- very few game modes, very small levels. Overall very underwhelming. The only way I could see anyone getting enjoyment out of it would be to link up 4 XBoxes, but I guess that's just me. If you want a REAL multiplayer experience in an FPS, get Timesplitters 2.

To be more descriptive about why I didn't like Halo's single-player. I really liked the game until the "flood" was released. Fighting lots of annoying and repetitive enemies while backtracking through areas you've been through before was no longer fun, but a chore.

Post by: mouse_clicker on August 23, 2003, 04:46:11 PM: I thought there could've been more variety between the Flood and the Covenant, too- the Flood just seemed like organic versions of the Covenant. I still loved the single player, though. And I loved Timesplitters 2's single player, as well. Very reminiscent of Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, which is probably why I love the game so much.

Post by: rpglover on August 24, 2003, 03:50:31 AM: i played through the halo's single player too- and loved it- it was a lot of fun and it did a lot of things right- but the problem i had with the game was that the levels start to repeat near the end- it doesn't really ruin anything in the game, but i usually like to be in different enviornments and places in a shooter- halo's single player reminded me a lot like half life- another great story driven shooter- and i agree with mouse_clicker on the multiplayer aspect- it really didnt have a lot of options, but it is fun when you link xboxes together for the lan play- personally though i think it is hard to compair prime and halo- both are great on their own right, but they are different games- i would say that i am a metriod freak though, so prime would be my more favorite game right now- i was just blown away by the graphics and the polish of the game the most- i had no idea the game would ever play that good- and it truely felt like a metriod game should in 3d- personally i think prime was one of the best games to come out in years- both games are good but both are different as well

Yeah, this was my only realy problem with Halo.

Post by: penfold on August 25, 2003, 08:01:56 AM: Halo is better with the multiplayer. The solo version does have some replay value, but it gets boring rather fast. Unreal Championship is the same way. Those games are much better when you are playing another person and seeing who gets the most frags. Metroid Prime never gets boring for me. The music also is awesome in Prime.

I played Halo and Metroid, and both are quite similar, but I don't really like military based FPSs, like CS and Halo. That's why i like Metroid Prime, Unreal, and Doom.
