Honestly, I see a lot of people dismissing this film and talking about how they aren't interested in it or it looks like a flop but I think it looks great and I'm really looking forward to seeing it. So far, Rogue One was the best of the Star Wars movies Disney has released and I'm looking forward to going back to more of that time frame with Solo. I guess I've got better expectations for these singular stories than the actual episode movies at this point. Plus, it's an interesting look at the universe since it seems to be more about the criminal side of that universe than the Empire or Rebellion which is a different story than we've really seen at this point. And it seems like a potential heist type movie and I'm always a sucker for a good heist flick.
So, I guess what I'm saying is that I agree with the title of this thread.

It's like I want to believe this will be like Power Rangers RPM where the end product turns out incredibly well despite everything that went wrong during production but until I've seen it for myself I can't assume that will be the case.

I didn't care when Harrison Ford got shanked(At his request) and I am not going to start now with some rando. I would have some hope of this being a good movie had they cast time travelling Harrison Ford.
R1 was an absolute mess with a good last act. The last act doesn't redeem the movie but it is better than both TFA and TLJ somehow.

maybe some fan will deep fake Solo with Harrison Fords face and then have Harrison Ford do the voice.

I think part of why I can get more excited for this than I could Rogue One is, I went into that one knowing everyone was going to die, not so with this.
I am predicting it will end up better than people are hoping but it will garner a ton of hate for some silly fanboyish reason or another.

I am trying to decide if I want to trick my mom into going to see Infinity War for her birthday tomorrow or save that play for Solo. She's both an Avengers fan and a Star Wars fan.
She did ask me when Wonder Woman was going to show up so there is that to contend with too.

I don't know anything about Star Wars, but this looks like the best one yet.
