Title: Breath Of The Wild DLC Pack 2 Launching Tonight

The Expansion Pass for Breath of the Wild is about to pay off in full.

Eiji Aonuma appeared at the Game Awards tonight to announce that the Champions Ballad DLC will debut tonight. The trailer showed the champions and Link in combat, plus additional story elements.

Additionally, completing the Divine Beast Tamer's quests in the pack will unlock the Master Cycle Zero - a specially designed motorcycle.

From what i see there isn't actually much to it and all additional story bits i can just catch on youtube.

Main game is great.

But it's too popular so liking it is not allowed if you want to look cool and controversial.

I'm curious just what fame & notoriety one would hope to gain with such an outlook on a website this small. I can, & have, clearly articulated why I find Breath of the Wild spectacularly underwhelming & overall pretty average. I don't need to "look cool" for disliking the current Nintendo sacred cow.

I actually had hope that the Champions Ballad would help rectify that, since the glimpses of actual Narrative that Nintendo cut out of the main game to make this DLC were the best parts OF the main game.

I was really thinking of not getting the DLC since I feel I'll probably buy a copy of the game for the Switch and don't want to also double dip on he DLC but, dang it Nintendo, you talked me into it. With Hero's Mode, the Korok Mask, Master Trials and this all tied into the DLC, I'd like to have the true full experience instead of waiting years later on the Switch.

Some of that Shrine or dungeon content in the trailer looked awesome so I can't wait to play it.  I wish Nintendo didn't pull a Sega Saturn and just announce it was out now.  I still need time to finish some of the other games I'm playing before I jump back into Zelda.

Oh well at least my current selection are shorter games so I should hopefully be ready to jump into Zelda in the next week or two.  If I was in the middle of playing something huge like Xenoblade or Skyrim I'd probably be pretty annoyed though.

My kids are excited and want to buy. I'm less sure. So far I don't really understand what the latest DLC adds - and the trailer didn't show me anything that I felt was really needed.


(I'm sure it's great content, but just not sure I want to drop $30 on it right now. We have just started playing the Windwaker HD remake, and are loving that game.)
