Title: Playing Gamecube Demo Disc in Manhattan
Post by: Nintendo Gamecube on August 08, 2003, 09:40:51 AM
I was in the city the other day and my and my friends decided to head to Toys R' Us, and guess what we saw there; A GAMECUBE DEMO DISC! It was nothing special for me...having already played it, but when I saw the games that people choose, it was Soul Calibor II on the demo disc. NO\ot once did anyone even select Viewtiful Joe (unfortunately). I was thinking about playing VJ on the big screen to show off my skills and the game, but it was time to go.

On the side note, X-Box's most popular game was this new NBA street BBall game. The moves in the game very pretty awesome.

I guess the point of my topic would be is that Teen/Mature games seem to be the attraction these days.Of course we all knew that, didn't we.

People know what Soul Calibur is, not Viewtiful Joe.   That is a major reason I bet.

I went to Sam's and saw some people playing the Cube there.  One smaller kid, one teenager, and one older dude.  They were playing Zelda and Lost Kingdoms 2, methinks.  The Xbox and PS2 were both shut down.  Made me grin a bit.

At walmart, the PS2 is always shut down, the xbox is empty, and everyone is at the cube playing soul caliber or mario golf.

You gotta love that Demo Disc! I think we are planning to head back to the city again, I'll be sure to play VJ this time around and see if it turns any heads, lol.
