Quote It looks like a very good adventure game.
I'd rather it be a very good RPG. Sounds great though, February seems so far away.

I think i've decided that the GC isn't going to be home to any significant numbers of RPGs, so i've started collecting some old ones on the SNES(breath of fire and Lufia) and for my PC (Planescape:Torment and Baldurs Gate 2). It does the trick. They're only about 10$ now. This FF:CC doesn't sound at all like a RPG, it sounds like action...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

It actually sounds similar to the classic PC game "The Oregon Trail". Just with action over text.
Anyway, it sounds fun as hell and that's all that matters. The GBA is getting some more traditional RPGs from Square so I don't mind this game being so different. Actually, I love that it's different. I hate what the "main" FF series has become.

Can some one please give me a definite answer.
To play multiplayer, do you need a GBA? Or will regular controlers work with multiplayer. I'm getting VERY sick of the connectivity BS.

how can you be VERY sick of connectivity? the full force of it hasn't even been delivered yet conectivity looks fun to me, 4 swords makes me want friends
you need 4 gba's to play multiplayer, thats the official word.

I don't have a problem with it being an adventure game. That's a less risky game to make for the Nintendo audience so it makes perfect for Square's first Cube game. Zelda's a big seller so naturally this is a pretty safe genre for the Cube userbase. I think if FF: CC sells well then Square will probably work on a more traditional RPG.
Plus this isn't a pure adventure game. It seems more like a adventure/RPG hybrid like Secret of Mana.

If it's like Secret of mana, i'll be very , very pleased.
