Title: Anime / Blue Gender

Has anyone seen Blue Gender? they started playing it this week on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. 12:30 Eastern i believe. i've been watching it, and i think it's awesome so far. does anyone know more about this series? from what i can tell, it was released on DVD over the last couple years, but i can't find it available anywhere. i guess my real question is, does anyone know where i could try to download the episodes? i've been digging around on Kazaa, but can't find much, they are all really low quality, and subtitled. any help would be appreciated.

If it's licensed, then it's illegal to download. You will have to buy the DVDs.

funimaion released the series on 8 DVD's a whiel ago. you can ge them at aniem nation here.
and you can probably find them on www.rightstuf.com as well.

I know this is sort of off-topic, but since you've been watching BG on Cartoon Network, did you see FLCL? It's one of the most wacky things I've seen in my entire life. It's hard to believe that the group that animated it did Ghost in the Shell.

OMG I just watched these show for the first time evar last night, and I come here and I'm like "hey"
FLCL is retarded. I don't GET it. Blue Gender is alright I guess, but I like Trigun much better. It's on after Blue Gender, I believe.

You don't get FLCL because it was definitely made to suit a Japanese audience. I found myself laughing out loud(which doesn't occur often) to the antics of Haruko(the pink-haired woman). Did you notice the similarity between Naota and Ness in the first episode? Coincedence?

You were asking where to download it. What was I supposed to say? I told you the facts to prevent people from posting illegal download links. So go blow it out your ear.

FLCL is too messed up for me to like- the story makes no sence and it randomly jumps from scene to scene without any explanation- i will agree that some parts of that show made me laugh out loud though blue gender is alright but it isnt the best anime i have seen- i personally like big o a whole lot the setting is pretty interesting and the plot is unique- and i love the music in that show- it just adds to the atmosphere i cant wait for the new season to start

FLCL is annoying. That Big O thing is pretty cool, but it'd be cooler without giant robots. I think I'm biased, because the main dude in that has the same English voice as Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop. And that girl android, Wendy I think, is cool, too.
I watch Home Movies, Family Guy, and Futurama. And Big O if I stay up late enough.

yeah i like big o a lot- it really is a pretty cool show and i think the chick's name in big o is dorothy but dont hold me to that

i loved FLCL, great show, very funny, nice story to it.
Never thought it'd show up on cartoon network though, don't think it's a good choice. FLCL is funny on it's own, but the best parts come from the anime in-jokes so present in the show. still it's great exposure for anime, and there have been almost no edits, though there is goign to be one in episode 6, but given what they've shown before, i bet it's due to time issues than content (Episode 6 is long).

That's so ignorant it isn't even funny. MOST anime is garbage. The only stuff that gets fansubbed is shows people will like, and even fewer shows manage to get licensed for western broadcast and sale.

FLCL is an interesting retelling of the history of the twentieth century. Everything is symbolic. On the flip side, Shin Seiki Evangelion was a huge joke Gainax pulled, and almost everyone fell for it. It's a gag show, wrapped in the illusion of depth. Blue Gender isn't even as good as Sentou Yosei Yukikaze, or even Kiddy Grade.

That's just BS. FLCL is garbage, and anyone with half a brain can see that.
As far as most anime is concerned, it's mostly garbage. Of the ones that are subbed, I would estimate that about 30 - 50% of it is worth watching. The amount that IS subbed is a very small portion of the pile of trash that's out there.l
