Greetings fellow users, and welcome to a game of my own design! Well, unless your name is Khushrenada. Then you'd better scroll your little bar all the way down to the bottom of this post and past all my warning signs! Yes, I know you've all been wondering: now that Evan_B has been banned, when will he start bringing out the hard-hitting thread titles and golden content that befits such a rapscallion of such status? Well, I suppose it would be right now. See, I've been stewing an idea for a low-committal, chance-based, absolute bullshit forum game of my own ever since my eyes first rested upon my glorious loss in the latest Safe Words! I too want to get in on some of that action, so I'll be starting my own series called:
"If [Insert User] reads the first post of this thread, he loses!" Whew! I have been waiting with bated breath to announce that one. So what are the rules of this game? Well, the first post of the thread will contain a conversation topic of the thread starter's choice, and obviously, the person in the thread title can't read it! But everyone else can, and its their goal to continuously post about that topic and create a conversation among themselves, giving subtle hints, while the person in the thread title attempts to guess just what the subject of that first post actually was! That's right, you might think its a game about trying to screw over Khushrenada, but if you all post and play poorly, you'll be screwing over yourselves! It's the entirety of NWR versus the user in the title, and we'll see how long- or how dumb- that user is as they attempt to figure out the subject of the thread!
If Khushrenada is still reading this post, it's okay buddy, I'm putting up the "SPOILER" warnings now, so you'll still have a chance to win the game! Everybody ready?

I see. Since there's a lot of discussion about winning and me losing and I'm targeted by this thread plus I made the recent post of winning a thread does that mean the topic of conversation is about how I'm losing in this thread?

Of course not, silly. Only those that attempt to direct you towards the subject of the first post within this thread can win. They lose if you guess the subject of the thread.
I can only say that the rules are in the first post. You can check them out, as the actual subject of the first post is buffered by red warnings and a spoiler tag.

I have read the rules. I'm just messing about to try and get some info. The subject could possibly be the rules of the game. Not sure how directing me to the subject can make a person win yet if I guess the subject they lose. That seems contradictory. Since the rules mention others having a conversation, I'm going to hold back a bit and see what happens when people converse in this thread without me around to influence the conversation.

I should clarify. Only you can win- or lose- the game. If you guess the subject, you win. If you give up, you lose. If you read the first post of the thread, you suffer the mental anguish of knowing that you could easily win, but the win will never be honest.
If you pick up on the cues that other members drop about the subject of the first post, then you might be able to win- but I honestly doubt it. You can certainly influence the conversation, but everyone else will likely attempt to keep the thread on-topic. That's how you can try to gather clues! This first thread is a bit of a test-run, you know, and I apologize for picking you as the first participant, but at the same time, you are the funhouse game-master. Surely, you can guess the subject! Your victory depends on it, kind of!

Well, clearly nothing will happen if I'm not participating.
I'm guessing this game is a bit like a party game I've played before called Psychiatrist in which a person is designated the psychiatrist and leaves the room while the group comes up with an illness of some sort like they are Bond Villains or their identity is the person to their left and the psychiatrist has to figure out what that symptom is by asking questions.
So, I suppose I should just start asking some questions as to what the topic might be?

No it is not instructions. But we all know that Khushrenada has already lost. There's no need to continue this pointless sharade. He's probably already read the spoilered text and now he's going to start posting for a bit acting like he hasn't read it and then he's going to have his "eureka moment" and he's going to act like the greatest thing on the forums since sliced bread. It's pretty much his M.O.

I didn't know I had to lock in a response. My understanding is that the game keeps going until I do get the correct subject in a guess or give up meaning I should have unlimited guesses. If you are asking it is my final response then I'm thinking it isn't correct.

Well, actually, you technically won, because you guessed the topic of the first post. You can read that spoilered text, and let it be known for all those that follow, you probably shouldn't read the first post. Even if the rules change!

Ha ha ha! Oh wow. So, I read the spoilered text now since you've called it. So, that was interesting. Not sure how well other games will work if a person can't read the first post since that seems to have just been the conceit of the game but I'd be interested to see how you handle another round. I can't believe that I was actually sort of thwarting you at first by acting like I didn't read the first post because of the title of the thread. Crazy! Pokepal148 is the one who was able to start leading me to the truth of the matter so thanks for that despite the shade thrown my way.
Big thanks to Evan_B for coming up with this idea. Was really tempted to see the spoilered text a couple times when I felt I was close to the answer but kept getting denied. Glad I did hold off and kept plugging away at it.

I think it would be a good idea if you took the lead on hosting another game of this. The problem is that this seems like a one time only game based on the spoilered text and how it played it. I'd be curious to see what another round could look like and how it would be different.
