A new New 3DS XL is launching days before the Switch.

Nintendo announced the Pikachu Yellow Edition New 3DS XL for release on Feb. 24.
The system will sell for the standard $199.99 in the US and does not include a game.
The Nintendo Switch, Nintendo's new console, launches on March 3 for $299.99.

I'm sorry, but I just don't understand where everyone's coming from when they say $299 is too much. If my choice is $200 for a 3DS portable with no game or $300 for a Switch home console and portable with no game... It's just a no brained to me. I mean I love the 3DS, but the Switch is Awesome and I am very happy to be one of the lucky ones that got a pre-order in

Uhhh, does the Switch have a pika-pika-Pikachu design? That's what I thought. Case closed. 3DS wins. (Honestly, I'd have no problem with $299.00 for the Switch. Problem is in Canada, the Switch is $399.00 so the 3DS is much more attractive buy right now especially with the library of games it does have available now.)

Am I the only one that's bugged by the orientation of the designs they put on these special edition 3DS systems? Maybe I'm a special case here, but I keep my system in a carrying case when I'm not playing it. When I'm playing it, I'm looking at the screen. That means the people on the other side who are able to see the image are seeing it upside down.
