You know what makes a great RPG even better? Selfies.
2017's 3DS RPG slate will get off to an early - and massive - start.
The 3DS remake of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King will launch in North America on January 20, 2017. A remake of the 2005 PS2 hit, the 3DS version adds two new character quests, a "speed-up" function for battles, and a StreetPass-capable photo mode. Full character voice acting will also be included.
UPDATE: Nintendo of Europe is confirming 20 January for the game as well.

So the inevitable question is would folks go with VII or VIII?If you can get only one then make it VIII, one of the best in the series. However, it's still a long game too, so be prepared for that.
