Title: Shovel Knight Appearing In Yooka-Laylee

Probably the closest we'll get to a Shovel Knight 64 for a while.

Playtonic Games has revealed many of the characters in Yooka-Laylee, including one major crossover.

A trailer released to coincide with the end of the EGX game festival in England announced that Shovel Knight will make an appearance in the game, among the gaggle of googly eyes.

Yooka-Laylee is still scheduled to release on Wii U before the end of March 2017.

Man, how many friggin games has Shovel Knight been a guest character in now? Indivisible, Bloostained, Runbow, Starr Mazer, Battle Kitchen...

Yeah, this game oozes Banjo-Kazooie flavor and I love it. Buying the game day-one.

I wonder if this means the game will have any amiibo functionality. It would be a good use for the Shovel Knight amiibo.

The gameplay looks pretty good, but the character design (and art style in general) looks a little too much like a Dreamworks cartoon to me...which is kind of a disappointment.
