Post by: Shaymin on August 30, 2016, 12:54:16 PM

There may be conflicting information on the end date, so assume a week.

Capcom has thrown their second major sale of the year on the North American eShop.

Similar to a sale back in May, most of the company's digital catalogue is greatly reduced in price - in some cases by up to 75%. Although Nintendo's website listing for the sale indicates an end date of September 9, the on-device eShops are showing September 6.

The games on sale are:

Wii U

3DS

Is MH4 the best game to start the series with?

It's just after playing Undertale I hate killing monsters...

Jumped on Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Wii U and Mega Man Legacy Collection. I'm fairly deep into Monster Hunter Generations now and have been wanting to see what HD Monster Hunter would be like on a big screen. I think I'll get a lot of use out of having digital versions for both of these games.

Monster Hunter Generations is the first one that really clicked with me, but I played Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate as well and I think MH4U does as good a job introducing new players to the series. I feel like Generations introduces new locations and new monsters at a quicker pace, which helps keep you engaged while you're learning the game, but that could have just been because I wasn't focused on the quests enough in MH4U.

In my opinion, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate has better tutorials for things like weapons, however the actual gameplay of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is easier, especially the late-game content, and it's less grind-heavy. The swimming in 3 can be tricky though.

I personally liked 3 better than 4.

Let me know if you're looking for a hunting buddy sometime, I wouldn't mind picking back up my Bowgun for another outing.

MH4U has the White Monoblos. Your argument is invalid.

Will do, thanks! I've been meaning to start playing every day since I bought it last week, but there so many games I want to play right now that I can't even find the time to start it.
