A shocking collection, to be sure. Now with English names and abilities!

The Pokémon Company has released a new trailer showing off seven new Pokémon.

An announcement was originally scheduled to air tomorrow but leaked out, prompting the early release. The new Pokémon have the following Japanese names:

• Tapu Koko (JP: Kapu Kokeko): Electric/Fairy guardian of Melemele Island, Electric Surge ability creates Electric Terrain on switching in, learns new move Nature's Madness/Wrath of Nature.
• Charjabug (JP: Denjimushi): Bug/Electric, evolves from Grubbin, new ability "Battery", evolves to...
• Vikavolt (JP: Kuwaganon): Bug/Electric with Levitate
• Drampa (JP: Jijīron): Normal/Dragon, new ability Berserk raises Special Attack under certain circumstances
• Bruxish (JP: Hagigishiri): Water/Psychic, new ability "Dazzling" blocks priority moves
• Cutiefly (JP: Aburī): Bug/Fairy type, Shield Dust/Honey Gather abilities
• Togedemaru: Electric/Steel with Lightning Rod or Iron Barbs abilities

Additionally, the previously announced Iwanko and Nekkoara will be named Rockruff and Komala.

I didn't like the weird design of Goomy > Sliggoo > Goodra as Dragon types and I don't really like it with Jijiron either. Dragon types should be the baddest looking motherfuckers in the game. Come on! Hopefully it's the first or the second evolution of something that looks a bit cooler in the end.

Donald, this article needs an update; we have english names.

Goodra is hands-down my favorite Gen 6 pokemon on design alone. the fact that it's viable and thick and gives it's trainer slimy hugs only makes it better.

I'm in the camp of people hoping that Drampa here is actually a Dunsparce Evolution.

I'm also lovin' Tapu Koko's design.

I don't think Goodra's design overall is bad by any means, ClexYoshi... I just don't like it as a Dragon type design.

I also realize this is a super weird quibble for me to have.

The Dratini line looks  about as un-badass as possible. Heck, Dragonite is powerful but looks very cutesy.

For sure and there are other cutesy Dragon type designs like Altaria too. The Garchomp kind of Dragon type designs are among my favourites in the games though and I just wish we had more of those than we get.
