The newest Skylanders adventure will only land on Wii U this fall.
Activision has announced this year's Skylanders title will be called Skylanders Imaginators and will release on October 16 for the Wii U, along with PlayStation 3/4 and Xbox 360/One. The game will come with a Creation Crystal that will allow players to create their own Skylanders, that can learn new skills from "Skylanders Senseis".
To celebrate the launch, Activision and developer Toys for Bob are holding an art contest where the winning Skylander design will be featured in the game. Artists can email skylanderscommunity@activision.com or post them on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #SkylandersArtContest.
No plans for a 3DS version have been announced at this time.
