Title: Windwaker Bonus Disc
Post by: Shorty McNostril on July 22, 2003, 07:07:32 PM
I recently bought windwaker and i only realised the second disc when i opened the box,(shows how much I read). Then i saw the sticker on the box that says that it may not work with older TV's. I tried it on my tv and sure enough it didn't work. When it loads at the beginning it says the TV needs to be able to do 60hz. Im just wondering if i need the special RGB(optional component video) to be able to run this game, or do i need to plug it in to a newer TV?

nope, just need a newer tv, im pretty sure i remember you saying your australian, and so you may or may not know, but 60 Htz is the NTSC standard, 50 Htz is the PAL standard, which is what australia uses. if you have a new tv laying around, check it has NTSC support, if so your set, if not, you need a new tv
because of this fact, i haven't actually played the Master Quest yet, as the tv in my room is a stinky 18 year old relic of the 80's

hahaha. boo urns for you two, eh? Hahaha. thing is though, once you play WW, you will not look at OoT and MQ the same, starry-eyed way ever again.
