Post by: Shaymin on May 03, 2016, 07:14:00 AM

Those who beat the average are making out like bandits.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/42627/humble-friends-of-nintendo-bundle-adds-three-more-games

The Humble Friends of Nintendo Bundle has added three more games to the roster.

Buyers who beat the average ($9.74 at press time) will get codes for Nano Assault EX (3DS), Swords and Soldiers II (Wii U) and Runbow (Wii U) in addition to Freedom Planet, Rhythm Thief and Citizens of Earth. Existing buyers can sign into the Humble website to get the additional codes. The other tiers - $1 for Retro City Rampage DX, Affordable Space Adventures and Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, $13 for all the games plus Darksiders II and Super Street Fighter IV 3D, remain the same.

To date, over 100,000 bundles have been sold and the bundle has made over US$1m. The bundle will be available until 2 pm Eastern time / 11 am Pacific next Tuesday.

Hmm, I made the purchase without creating an account... Does that mean I can't get the additional games?

Wow, what a great list of games!

I recently bought Runbow so have that weird disappointment at "overspending"... but it was totally worth the price I paid and the rest of this bundle is awesome anyway.

You probably got an email confirmation from Humble Bundle after buying, that should have a link you can access to get the extra games.  It  probably has something like "Your Humble Bundle is ready" in the subject line with a link to a specific URL where you can claim games (including recently added ones) that you've purchased.

Two of the three are things I already had (Nano Assault and Runbow), which is somewhat disappointing, but still, a great deal.

What's also neat is that if you ever do register and use the same email, it will grab any bundles you have bought before and add them to your library.  Also, if you use a different email, I believe there is a way to add the bundles you use on the other email if you have the URL link for that bundle.
I think I'm up to 350 games on Humble bundle that I've bought including both Nintendo based ones.

Out of curiosity, what was the tipping point?

(For me: seeing 3 games I would have bought eventually at full price from the initial batch confirmed this was a fantastic deal.  Everything beyond that, including the additional games, has been pure gravy.)

I had either played or owned most of the games in the bundle, so now there's enough new stuff for me to try out. Or put on my backlog.

Affordable Space Adventures being affordable, Rhythm Thief replacing my sold 3DS copy, Runbow, and Swords & Soldiers II were worth it, but contributing to a charity is the icing on the cake!

The donation slider is pretty good, though a little misleading when Nintendo is at the top and you have to click the drop down menu to find the individual game breakdown. I made sure the money went to the indie devs first and foremost.

I don't have a Wii U, or know anyone who does, so PM me if you are interested.

I'm torn because more to Nintendo might encourage them to do this more often.

If you want to sell that copy of Rhythm Thief for a price that won't run me a kidney, let me know. :D

No, I had sold it on eBay a week prior to the Bundle. Got really lucky there.

I made sure all the indie devs got a cut (except Capcom and Nordic cause whatevs).

Really enjoyed entering my codes online instead of having to fire up my Wii U and type them on the touch screen last night.  Huge time save.  Makes these bundles even more worth it.

You don't even have to enter rhem manually.

There is a button on Humble Bundle page near each key that does it for you.

Wait, you mean it'll send it to my Wii U automatically from the bundle page? I was copying and pasting in to the eShop site.

You don't have to do from Wii U. eShop has a web-version now, you can open it on PC, mobile or what have you (provided you log in with NNID).

If you just press the button on Humnle Bundle redeem page it will send you to eShop web redeem page with codes already pre-entered:

OH, okay.  I used the eShop web page, but I searched for it, then copied and pasted the code.  Didn't realize the button did the same thing.

Thanks for pointing that out. :) Could've saved me some steps.
