Callie and Marie amiibo, along with recolors of the Inkling trio, will launch July 8, Nintendo said on Twitter.

The squid sisters will unlock new musical performances and will feature "tasty textures," "delicious detail," and "savory sparkles." It is unknown if the new Inkling trio unlocks anything different than the original.

Callie and Marie will be available in North America as a two-pack for $24.99, while the Girl and Boy Inklings will be available individually for $12.99 each or in a three-pack with the new orange squid for $34.99.

In Europe, Callie and Marie will be available individually or in a two-pack. The Inkling trio will be sold as individuals in "limited quantities."

Callie and Marie are amazing, but those Inkling re-colors feel fairly pointless. I would've preferred to get amiibo of Cap'n Cuttlefish, Spike, the Octolings, etc.

Yeah would have been cool to see some other characters show up, but I guess its nice and easy to just change the colors for Nintendo.

I like that Nintendo did different designs for the Inklings, but I would've hoped for different poses/outfits as well as colors.

And I do like that the Inkling Boy is a squidkid of color.

Yeah, as much as I have been out of the Splatoon loop lately (I will probably pick it up during the summer again because there's nothing coming out for Wii U) I am gonna have to get Callie and Marie. I am honestly surprised at how integral these two are to the game and how little they end up irritating me.

I don't particularly care for the girl/boy/squid since they're only recolors and not resculpts.

But I will end you if that's what is required to get Callie and Marie.

I think I saw a rumour about the sisters a while back, so I'm not surprised. They're also about the only thing the game has for actual characters.
