Hey everyone! Nintendo's already dropped multiple bombs on everyone - the NX AND Zelda is 2017? Nintendo's drawing back E3 to a single game? Fire Emblem is going to take on Clash Royale?

Join Alex, Neal, and Donald - because we could have news out of the Q&A - as we try and break down just what the heck happened today. Also, at least one host will drink on air.

I really appreciate the .mp3. If this becomes the norm will we find it in with the RFN or Connectivity podcast feeds?

It's more likely to be its own feed.

I don't have the time to play anything other than Nintendo, man. I never really understood people's issues with Nintendo's frequent software droughts. Even with the release schedules on 3DS and Wii U, there has never been a time where I've had nothing to play. I still have pretty substantial backlog to get through. Hell, I haven't even started Xenoblade X despite having owned it since Christmas. It's actually more often the case I find myself saying that there are too many games to play!

I feel it's more a variety issue.  When there is really strong support and tons of games coming out it isn't that you then try to play everything, it's that you have a lot of flexibility of what to play.  Maybe you don't like this genre or you strongly prefer that one and if there is lots of stuff coming out you can accommodate your tastes.  Nintendo's schedule only works if you like everything they give you.  But if the one notable game released in a three month span isn't up your alley, too bad, wait six months now.  Sometimes that one game is a re-release of some kind and if you already own the original version you don't want to buy it again.  Okay so wait six months.  Sometimes you're going to have two in the row you don't want.  Wait nine months.

For upcoming titles we have Tokyo Mirage Sessions and Paper Mario.  Okay so TMS is a niche game and not everyone is going to be interested in it.  Paper Mario looks to follow the Sticker Star template which had a mixed reception.  I can see a fair amount of Wii U owners wanting to skip both titles... so what are they left with, particularly if they don't also own a 3DS?  That's the problem with droughts.

Totes agree. I have more than one system and don't rely on new releases.
