Title: I never knew The Rat as The Rat. Why does he keep getting banned?

He seems like he wants to be a part of the community, and heaven knows that doesn't happen often with people who start posting here. (Ooh, PHIL SLAM'D!)
Anyway, what bad things has this poster done in the past? Since this is the Funhouse, you can come up with real responses or get creative and make things up. Just don't say which is which. The fun(house) is in guessing!

I believe his first bannable blow up was over the 2008 US election.
Its always politics, racism, or sexism that gets people it seems.

How many times has he returned? Was he allowed back originally for the first few dozen times, and now when he's outed he's immediately banned?
He seemed nice, but I never saw any blow ups thankfully. I guess I'm not here enough.

My impression is that we figure it out and mods decide to give him a chance at turning a new leaf until he blows up again.
Once I think he did a voluntary ban because he knew he messed up, then rejoined as a new avatar in an attempt at changing for real. I think that was the Marvel Movie Fan version who self-banned.
I believe he was also Oblivion? I've lost track of all of his forms as I'm willing to let him have restarts from time to time. He's returned enough that he is a member of the community, albeit one who has difficulty controlling what he says. I like to think he learns a bit each time and grows as a person.
Then again, I am a glass-half-full kinda guy and -I- don't have to clean up his messes. Insano and the other leaders may have a slightly different opinion of him.

I don't think the Rat was Oblivion. I think Oblivion was here for the first incarnation of The Rat.

Oblivion was definitely not The Rat, he was just another user who had a few outbursts, requested himself be banned, then came back with a new account (though he didn't try to hide it was him). Currently, he's been absent for a while, though I don't recall it being because of an outburst or banning. Can't remember, though.
This makes me wonder if you're even talking about the right person.

Yeah, ObbyDent is his own person and not part of the rat pack. He decided he didn't like this community as much anymore and signed off last year because he was going to NeoGaf or something. Too bad. I don't know why he felt he couldn't have fun here but that's how it is with some users. He didn't leave in an outburst or requested a banning though so there's always the chance he may return.
