Title: GOLDEN SUN beginning game help

I have just started the game, i need help on what to do next after defeating the theives in this place called vault, ivan has left the party and its just isaac and garet, i cant seem to findthe way out of this cave that has a waterfall, is there any way out of there? also i cant get past the other cave just below lunpa, switch just closes the darn gate, cant get in lunpa as well. so im really stuck i have lots of money from running all over the place, fighting little monsters, bla bla bla, so im really stuck and i need help , i just started and im already stranded.

and yeah, i just bought this game for 8 bucks from a flea market from this old lady, and circuit city is selling it for 29.99, and it is brand new, just been played by a little 7 yr old boy. i guess he didnt get far either, no game saves just spankin new.

OK, so you beat the thieves and Ivan got his rod back right? Well you need to leave Vault heading east. Keep going until you reach a bridge and then go north once you cross it. There will be a cave you want to enter. Progress through the cavern until you reach a stump with leaves on it. If you try to jump, Garet will stop you and Ivan will appear. That should be enough info.

oh thank you so much, i have been trying to get out of there for 2 days, because nothing will happen even if i stand right in front of that stump and left to try to get on it, but thank you for pointing out that location, i did psynergy to try to move it and garet didnt even say what should be done, just "its no use" or something like that, then ivan came.
