Perhaps the most generous set of launch deals ever.

Mutant Mudds will be challenging Wii U and 3DS owners in a couple of weeks.

The Wii U and 3DS games will be launching on March 17, for US$9.99/€9.99/£8.99. The game will launch with crossbuy (buy one version, the other is free) as well as a 15% loyalty discount for owning Mutant Mudds (3DS)/Mutant Mudds Deluxe (Wii U) or downloading Super Challenge's Nindies@Home E3 demo.

Previous Renegade Kid titles have had delayed releases due to international ratings, so this is one of the company's first title to come out with a simultaneous release.

The original is my favorite eShop game and one of my favorite games on the system period. I've played through it at least 8 or 10 times. I've been looking forward to this for a while now, and I'm really happy it's almost here.

PREACH

Addition of Granny/Ghost levels on the 3DS version catapulted it from "awesome eShop game" to "must-have platformer".

I've almost bought the original several times as I enjoyed the demo, but I've just never pulled the trigger. I did download the nindies at home demo.
So let me get this straight, if I buy the new game (at 15% off) then I'll get the original free? Or is it that I can only get the 1 discount or the other discount?
How hard is the original game? Is it as hard as Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze?

You can only get Super Challenge discounted, not the other way around.

The original Mutant Mudds features 60 (technically 80 because each of the 20 original levels has a sublevel within them) levels of platforming, and is like Donkey Kong Country in that it requires precise input and very good understanding of the movement options as well as the level design. It is hard, maybe harder than DKC, but since every level is smaller and the health system is a bit more forgiving, it doesn't feel that way. The first 20-40 levels feel pretty brutal but then you really get a handle on the game and it becomes really amazing.
