March 11, Pikmin 3 goes down in price by about 80%.

Nintendo has issued a statement confirming a previously revealed expansion to the Nintendo Selects line.

The new Selects, which include the first Wii U additions to the program, will release om March 11 at a MSRP of US$19.99/C$29.99. Previous precedent has had digital prices lowering to match as applicable.

The games in the program are:

*will be disc only and not include the 25th anniversary book/CD

Still confused by the inclusion of Wii games (City Folk especially).

Agreed - but making Pikmin 3 widely available again at a reasonable price makes up for that.


Thanks to Shaymin for the clarification about the Super Mario All-Stars release not including the bonus materials. If the bonus goods were included in the reprint then I would have purchased it no question. Instead, I can hold off and watch for a good sale at some point in the future since I've already got all the games in other forms.

Pikmin 3 and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze are amazing games, if you don't already have them don't even hesitate at this price!

Went ahead and double checked. City Folk was already added to the Selects line in 2011... What?

Rerelease I'm guessing.  Maybe they stopped making it for awhile and now they are hoping people will want it again with the Animal Crossing Amiibo out there.

I wish they would add more obscure titles to the select line. I have most of these, but would love a chance to pick up lego city undercover, Bayo 2, ect for $20

Bayo 2 just got a reprint and a price drop. I do agree LCU needs a reprint.

Short version: totally agree that LEGO City Undercover should get a reprint and price drop. Loading times were very annoying, but other than that it was a very good game. Maybe even one of my favorite Wii U experiences overall.

Nice. I'll probably check out Yoshi's New Island for that price. I also might get Mario Party Island Tour and NES Remix Pack... if the price goes a little lower. I have everything else (except DKCR 3D but I'm fine with the Wii game).
