I'm hoping the motion controls are nice in this one as using wiimote and nunchuk were always my ideal control setup for the game.

If they do anything special with the controls I want touch stylus support, that alone makes this versions superior to all the rest. Even better than offtv play which is perfect for freeing up my PS4 to do more important things.

More like we couldn't find a stable venue. I'm hoping that gets resolved with the version in some fashion.

Ouch. Sounds to be just a straight port if they're not doing the thing people would want to do with the GamePad's touchscreen.

The pricing strategy for Minecraft has been that the earlier you buy into it the cheaper it is, and as they add more content the price rises. Eg Pre Alpha $5 Alpha $10 Beta $15 1.0 $20 Then some time after to $27
Now for consoles the price has not increased, perhaps because there is no precedent for raising prices on consoles and it would be in bad taste, but instead a new holiday bundle is being phased in that includes the things the Wii U version does and costs $30.
well i would love to play with you guys, but don't have a wii u :'( (can't get one ask shy for the reason y) pc still the best.
I am curious, never tried it, but how does multiplayer even work in a game like Minecraft, do you all fight for resources, is it an MMO, what does it to differently? I only play the game in creative mode offline for the most part, I tried survival mode a couple of times but it wasn't nearly as much fun.

You can work together or compete for resources. Or you can play lucario style and befriend people then take all of their chests of goodies ;-)
I like building rail lines between cities we build. Kind of a village survival with a bit of competition to find the best resources.

Generally when Strayos, Myself, and Shyguy play. I construct the mines and sky scrapers, Stratos constructs railways and his own mines, and Shyguy builds the quaint village sections. Lucario steals all our resources and we have to work twice as hard. Its like an added difficulty level.

I always try to build my version of the Lonely Mountains fortress in every map I build.
I had found the perfect mountain in our last server that had a hollowed out crescent shape to it in the mesa zone. I was going to build it up.
Is our server still up? I might hop on tonight.

How does the multiplayer work. Do we all share a world? Is it persistent online or more like Animal Crossing where you have to visit each other's "towns"? If we need a dedicated village of sorts to remain open I use my Wii so rarely that I'd be willing to volunteer to leave mine open and on as a shared space if that is necessary.

Looks like it works just as I suspected above.
Like I said, I'm willing to 'host' a persistent world to allow folks to come and go as they please. So if I don't have you on my Wii U friend list lets fix that now.

Well you need to fix that silly! I'd figure you will want to get Pokken Tournament this year considering Lucario is a playable character.

Its called parents r assholes and even tho i want to buy it with my own money (im 18 in a couple of days) they still will not let me buy a Wii U, so it won't happen until i move out.

Here is a curiosity question for anyone who has played this on PC: Is every version of this game as glitchy as this one is?
I got this game because a friend wanted me to, but I'm really starting to get tired of all the glitches. Stuff like consuming two food items with one button press I can deal with, but things like getting stuck in blocks or just straight-up freezes typically require reloading a save. With all the billions they've made on this game, I'd think they could at least afford to get it running smoothly...

Interesting, I never ran into those glitches on either version. Though I don't play with a lot of people online.
So does this mean we can finally play sometime soon Mop it up?

Well from what I hear, it's mostly multiplayer that's glitchy. But it's boring in single...

If you want to, but I can't use voice chat. And I may turn into a bat, get stuck in your minecart, and then catch fire when I press the Start button (seriously, that was one such glitch that happened).

The game supports voice chat? Never even knew that.
Do wish we could get an option for a persistent world online. I'd even pay a couple bucks to have the option of it.

So I'm playing this on Switch right now and I think I found a really nice spot to build a castle. (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DQMbvvFUEAAGfUC.jpg:large)
