Bravely Second has been reconfirmed outside Japan, and Europe gets the title first again.

The title will release in spring 2016, while Europe will get the game in the first quarter of next year. Europe will receive a limited edition with a 250 page artbook, soundtrack and a figurine of Agnès from Bravely Default.

I'll buy it on sale for $20. The first game was very disappointing. Maybe it can be made up for here if they make the battle system better and don't make thing overly repetitive to give some false sense of content. And maybe add a good story. And give characters a personality that isn't one dimensional. And [rants]...

Triforce Hermit, I can definitely steer you clear on this one. The battle system is exactly the same with new job classes (not all are new, some return). However, the story of the game does not include parallel universes to my knowledge.

I don't know that the subtitle means, but I'm going to assume it is friend slayer

From what I've read, this game still has you repeat content, it's just done a bit differently than it was in the first game (and it's also once instead of four times, but longer). I've also heard that it contains some of the same content/areas as the original game, so yeah, this game is very much "more of the same." If you didn't like Bravely Default, nothing here will change your mind.

I'll probably still buy into it since I liked the class system well enough.
