At least the costumes are coming to North America.
Splatoon is making its mark on Super Smash Bros. and the New 3DS as well.
Announced in the Splatoon Direct were downloadable costumes for the Splatoon characters for Super Smash Bros. As with other costumes, they will equip to the Mii either as a hat or a full costume. In North America, a download code will be given to those who pre-order Splatoon from Gamestop/EB Games for the Wii U version of Smash Bros. A general release, for both Wii U and 3DS versions, will be announced at a later date.
In territories with the New 3DS faceplates, a special Splatoon design will also be made available. This multicolored splatter design will be available in July. Europeans who take part in the Global Testfire beta will also receive 10% off buying the game digitally from 29 May to 4 June, making the game £31.49/€35.99 digitally at launch. Finally, Japan has made available a special Splatoon 3DS theme.
