Title: Breaking Spotpass - Exploit found last night with Nintendo uniques!

I found out on accident how to perform a limited time exploit on any SPECIAL GUEST Mii's that Nintendo sends through SPOTPASS!

Simple breakdown: 1. Use the special guest in all of the games 2. Select SETTINGS and deactivate STREETPASS (This also deactivates SPOTPASS) 3. DELETE the special guest from your plaza 4. Hit HOME and exit StreetPass Mii Plaza 5. Re-enter StreetPass Mii Plaza 6. Select SETTINGS and reactivate STREETPASS 7. Reactivate SPOTPASS next 8. Wait for the beautiful BLUE NOTIFICATION 9. Hit the HOME button and the NOTIFICATIONS bubble should pop out. 10. Enter NOTIFICATIONS menu and select LAUNCH SOFTWARE at the bottom 11. SP Mii Plaza will close and re-open by itself and the special guest should come strolling through to greet you like it was the first time ever! 12. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: SPOTPASS BROKEN - REPEAT UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED Haaaaaaave Fuuuuunn!!! :) -Anthony Schwader

Do you have to use the special guest Mii in all the games, or is that just to take the most advantage? I've cleared all the games completely outside of puzzle panels at this point. I don't need to water any more plants!

No, you can just use it in any combination of the games you want.

It's neat. For those who don't have access to Homepass.
I thought Homepass didn't work anymore. Though I haven't been keeping up with it. Did they find a new workaround?

Well either this doesn't work or the Honest Abe special Mii for Code Name S.T.E.A.M.was time limited and now over, cuz he ain't coming back. Too bad, I liked him, wish I could get him back. Can someone export him somehow? Make an AR code or something?

Same thing happened to me, Fatty! I tried out this trick on the weekend, but Abe didn't come back.
Luckily, I have him on another 3DS. I just sent him to the Plaza and tried saving him as a QR code, however it does not let you create a code. It looks like that's the case for all gold pants Miis, I guess. Sorry, can't get you an Abe after all :(

I confirm that as of the time of this post, exploit works with Reggie. I did it twice.
I wonder if it will work again now that I have closed the software and moved on? Could I go back to Mii Plaza and just delete Reggie over and over, as long as the StreetPass event is on, or do you have to perform the exploit exactly as described continuously with no breaks for other software in between? Maybe I'll try.
Edit: I tried and it worked. I played another game in between using the Special Mii and deleting it and re-activating SpotPass, and the Special Mii re-appeared. Looks like you can just keep deleting and re-getting the Special Mii as much as you like during the distribution window. Good to know. I will stock up on special puzzle pieces since Reggie has them all, of course.
Note: I have not performed the latest Smash Bros. or Mii Plaza updates yet, I don't have the new StreetPass games.
