Check out our side by side video comparing the 3DS and Wii versions of Xenoblade Chronicles.

Watch the comparison video below. The Wii footage was kindly provided by GamerXiphos on YouTube.Note: The lighting in cut-scenes is affected by the real-time day/night cycle. In the video, lighting differences can be greatly attributed to the events occurring at different times of the day.

Wow! I'm impressed with how close they are. That's it I'm in on the 3DS one. (I normally wouldn't be willing to play a game like that twice, but I absolutely loved Xenoblade)
Man, I hope X is at lease almost as good

Textures are a little more muggy and lighting is different , but for the most part its identical. Great way to show off the N3DS's capabilities I think.

To tell you the truth I'm a Little surprised the 3DS version isn't a little sharper but, that is probably more of an artifact of the screen resolution than the systems processing capabilities.  I think the 3DS Top screen is 400x240 and the Wii at minimum would have 640x480.  Its a shame Nintendo didn't bump the screen res on the New 3DS.
