Title: Ideas for Features about Nintendo GameSphere/Nexus
Post by: Ash Ketchum on June 29, 2003, 11:04:36 AM
We should think of features for the Nintendo Successor. Why, because it's fun to dream When, as soon as physically possible How, typing Who, y'all Planet GCube
I'll only say one cuz my mom's telling me to get off
Backwards compatible anyone?

It would need a buit-in GameBoy Player. Oh, and if it came out as a GameSphere, it would have to be durable enough to use for sports.

yeah i dont really like gamesphere but i love the Nexus name probably because of the alliteration. anyway one thing I would like to see is definetly SD cards as the storage medium, but, i want a large one included with the purchase of the system. i was thinking that if i could hold all the games i own and most of the games i rent on 2 256 memory cards that maybe a 16 or 32 meg SD card would be more then enough

I like GameSphere better than GameCube, I just wonder how it will look like, and will it roll away while your playing.

if it is going to be a GameSPHERE it better be floating and make humming sounds as it hovers. lol. i like how nintendo nexus sounds but i dont think it sounds right when u say " hey do u wanna play nexus?" maybe they should call it the Nintendo Cross-Action Tooshbrush. or something.

The next Nintendo console better have a built in toaster oven and cupholders. Also, a blowgun should be installed in the front end of the console, to fire caffeine-tipped blowdarts at tired gamers.

I wish people would stop calling it the "gamesphere" every time i hear that it makes me think of the southpark episode with the "okama gamesphere" that has to be where people got that idea....

A triangle is 2D. It would have to be a pyramid, cone, or triangular prism.
Getting back on topic on thing I would really like to see would be standard wireless controllers. Each controller should have a removable cord so that you can play it wireless or you can save batteries and plug it into the console. I would also like the controller to have a decent sized D-pad and the buttons aranged in a normal manner. The Cube controller design was great in theory and worked perfectly with Nintendo's own games but it was a nightmare for ports and most third parties didn't use it correctly. Something more generic would have more appeal. If they wanted they could make it so that Cube controllers can work on the new console as well and then have the best of both worlds.
I also would like to see a mouse (and maybe a keyboard too) released. That way they can make games like RTS games and point-and-click adventures. Plus you could have mouse aiming for first person shooters. They could then pack it in with a major release (not Mario Paint, an RTS would be less gimmicky) to ensure it gets a good sized userbase. The SNES mouse flopped but PC games are a LOT more popular now than they were ten years ago so the amount of games that could use such a device is much greater. Plus it's something the competition initially wouldn't have.
