So, when you hear the word, whirl, you think of a dick?
Is that because you think of your own? If so, you may want to see a doctor about that.

Off-topic, but I really dig your Phil Hartman avatar, Khushrenada! :) He is still one of my favorite SNL cast members ever, and it makes me sad we lost him so soon.

No but I slept at a Holiday Inn last night. Ok. I admit that was pretty lame even by my standards. I apologize and hand in my badge and gun voluntarily.
However, I did have a punchline for this bit. Whether it is actually funny and worth it or not, I guess we'll find out. I was hoping a few others may participate before I get to it but whatev's. I can carry this thread on my own just like I do for most other threads on this forum. I'm the Atlas of NWR.
Today's song (with a bonus NWR member referenced)
The Devil Crimm Went Down To Georgia NWR
Crimm went down to NWR. He was lookin' for a soul to steal ban. He was in a bind 'cause he was way behind. He was willing to make a deal needed some kind of a plan. When he came across this young man sawin' on a fiddle and playin' it hot. And Crimm jumped upon a hickory stump and said "Boy, let me tell you what."
"I guess you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player, too. And if you'd care to take a dare I'll make a bet with you. Now you play a pretty good fiddle, boy, but give Crimm his due. I'll bet a fiddle of gold against your soul 'cause I think I'm better than you."
The boy said, "My name's Johnny, Khushrenada and it might be a sin, But I'll take your bet; and you're gonna regret 'cause I'm the best there's ever been."
Khushrenada, rosin up your bow and play your fiddle hard. 'Cause Hell's broke loose in NWR and Crimm deals it hard. And if you win you get this shiny fiddle made of gold, But if you lose Crimm bans your soul.
Crimm opened up his case and he said, "I'll start this show." And fire flew from his fingertips as he rosined up his bow. And he pulled the bow across the strings and it made an evil hiss. And a band of demons joined in and it sounded something like this.
When Crimm finished, Khushrenada said, "Well, you're pretty good ol' son, But sit down in that chair right there and let me show you how it's done."
"Fire on the Mountain." Run, boys, run! Crimm's in the house of the rising sun; Chicken's in the bread pan picking out dough. Granny, does your dog bite? No, child, no.
Crimm bowed his head because he knew that he'd been beat. And he laid that golden fiddle on the ground at Khushrenada's feet. Khushrenada said, "Crimm, just come on back if you ever wanna try again, I done told you once—you son of a bitch—I'm the best that's ever been."
And he played:
"Fire on the Mountain." Run, boys, run! Crimm's in the house of the rising sun; The chicken's in the bread pan picking out dough. Granny, will your dog bite? No, child, no.
Better than the original!

Thanks. Phil Hartman was great. I adopted the avatar when Insanolord and I started comparing NWR to NewsRadio and now I'm using it for the mafia game I'm playing. It is a shame about his lost. You can't help but wonder what sort of impact he could still have been making on TV today.

An unbreakable union of free republics, The Great Khushrenda has welded forever to stand. Long live the creation of the will of the people, The united, mighty Khushrenda Union!
CHORUS: Be glorious, our free motherland, A reliable stronghold of the Khushrenda's friendship! Banner of the Khushrenda, Banner of the people, May it lead from victory to victory!
Through tempests the sun of freedom shone to us, And the great Khushrenda illuminated our path, We were raised by Khushrenda to be true to the people, To labour and heroic deeds he inspired us!
CHORUS: Be glorious, our free motherland, A reliable stronghold of the Khushrenda's happiness! Banner of the Khushrenda, Banner of the people, May it lead from victory to victory!
We grew our army in battles, We will sweep the vile invaders out of the way! We shall in battle decide the fate of generations, We shall lead to glory our Khushrenda!
CHORUS: Be glorious, our free motherland, A reliable stronghold of the Khushrenda's glory! Banner of the Khushrenda, Banner of the people, May it lead from victory to victory!
What do I win?

That's a pretty good song. What was the original that you changed to make it into this timeless masterpiece?

Makes sense. My only nitpicky complaint about it would be that while it is a very true and properly glorious song about Khushrenada, it could use a bit more humour. The songs I've posted and made changes to are such that it gives them a bit more of a comedic slant. This is the funhouse not the truthhouse although the two are sometimes entwined.

Roxanne Khushrenada
Khushrenada You don't have to put on the red light Those days are over You don't have to sell your body to the night
Khushrenada You don't have to wear that dress tonight Walk the streets for money You don't care if it's wrong or if it's right
Khushrenada You don't have to put on the red light
I loved you since I knew you I wouldn't talk down to you I have to tell you just how I feel I won't share you with another boy I know my mind is made up So put away your make up Told you once I won't tell you again It's a bad way
Khushrenada You don't have to put on the red light Khushrenada You don't have to put on the red light
Again, it's not that hard to do.
