Title: Super Smash Bros. Music CD Offer Announced

It's a physical CD baby.

Club Nintendo members who register both the upcoming 3DS & Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros. will be sent a physical soundtrack for the games.

The soundtrack is called the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS & Wii U: Premium Sound Selection. The set will come with two discs, one red and one blue. The red disc likely has music from the 3DS version, while the blue presumably has songs from the Wii U game. This color coding would match up with each versions official logo colors.

Nintendo promises that further details regarding this offer will be announced in the near future.

I love the Brawl soundtrack and plan to get both the 3DS and Wii U versions, so i'm pretty happy about this.

For my purposes all those tracks as Flacs would be better.

I'll actually register my games for once. Heck, I think is better than any of the yearly awards they hand out. Awesome!

As someone who has complained for years that Nintendo outright refuses to take advantage of their CD soundtrack catalog on the North American Club Nintendo, I have no issues with this offer. Hell, it probably pushed me over the edge on the "good enough" 3DS version.

Quite frankly, I'm disappointed, Luigi Dude. I definitely expected that coach-going-super-Saiyan .gif from you since you're such a fan of the series' music.

Look at the pic in the article, it has the ESRB logo in it and is all English. So this offer is for North America (haven't seen it mention for Europe or Japan).

Nintendo also has this offer posted on the official North American Club Nintendo page along with their other special announcements, so it's real and it's for us...for once.

So another CD to insert, rip and let gather dust... maybe I can sell the set with the admittedly decent soundtrack to the worst non-CDi Zelda game.

In all seriousness... cool. I'll probably get more than $30 from selling it once I'm done with it

I thought about that but don't want to jinx things yet.  Since it's only a selection on 2 discs from an album which I'd imagine will be over 300 songs, a lot of stuff isn't going to make it.  Now I'm sure the CD will still be great, but if I get too excited I worry Sakurai will troll me by leaving out too many of my favorite tracks.

Same here. I have been slowly creeping towards the "get 3DS version too" camp for a while and this coupled with the NEW 3DS support may have made me a convert.
