Europe will just have to wait to track this treasure.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker has been delayed to January 2015 in Europe, Nintendo confirmed today.
They confirmed this news via their financial report, which also came out today.
The game originally had a Winter 2014 release date in the region before being delayed. That is still the release date for North America and Japan as of this writing.
I just hope this doesn't mean EAD Tokyo got called in to finish Smash WiiU off like Retro did with a certain 3DS racing game (even if it is their third best game ever behind the two DKCRs).NO!!! Bad Shaymin, *uses spray bottle*
If this happens in other territories, it'll make 2014 the first year since 2008 that didn't have some sort of Mario-universe platforming game release.Aren't Yoshi's New Island and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze technically Mario-universe platformers? I'm also not sure if this game counts as a platformer since Toad can't jump.
