The last one for that Vivillon collection we know you have.

An exclusive Fancy Pattern Vivillon is now being distributed on the Nintendo Network until July 31 to commemorate Pokémon's 100,000,000 trades via the Global Trade Station.

The Fancy Pattern Vivillon will be exclusive to this event, so this particular pattern will never be found in the wild. To get their new Pokémon, players can log on to the Internet and receive it via Mystery Gift on Pokémon X or Y's main menu. Once received, players will then have to open their game file and find the delivery girl at any Pokémon Center.

This Pokémon comes in a Cherish Ball as a level 12  with a default move set including Gust, Light Screen, Struggle Bug and a new special move called Hold Hands, which is unique to this Vivillon. This new move is described as follows: "The user and an ally hold hands. This makes them very happy."

This special event Pokémon has been confirmed as available in all regions.

How about we don't have our time wasted with Malibu Stacey's new hat and get something really special? When was the last Darkrai or Shaymin giveaway?

Hey, Vivillion is a pretty decent poke, even if Volcarona does everything it does better.

I see no reason for them to need time. They had it figured out before and now they don't.

I'm not asking for an event legendary every month but I would like more then 3 wifi distributions in 9 months. oh and let's actually use wifi for some of these because I'm not going to go watch ass Ash go on some stupid adventure about a cocoon because I can get a diance out of it... **** that.

As a matter of fact there's a Darkrai event going on right now! Here, I'm going to help fill you in here because it's just been horribly communicated so I'm going to help you out here and fill you in on the details:

In order to receive this darkrai (which is level 50 and already knows 'dark void' so stay off of random online battling if you know what's good for you) you just have to preorder a ticket to the next Pokemon movie and that's it!

Easy right?

Oh and just one more thing, you have to live in Japan.

So gamefreak, you're seriously doing a distribution of a Pokemon that can only be obtained through these stupid events of yours and only having it in Japan? From someone who is trying to complete a pokedex screw you.

Japan is also getting a pikachu that knows mega kick (I think as a tie in to the world cup which is a WORLDWIDE EVENT BTW but this Pikachu can ONLY BE OBTAINED IN JAPAN)

Seriously Game Freak, lets have a talk... YOU'RE STARTING TO MAKE THE FUCKING ESHOP RELEASE SCHEDULE LOOK GOOD!!! YOU DID GREAT WITH THE WORLDWIDE LAUNCH BUT THESE REGION EXCLUSIVE EVENTS NEED TO STOP!!!!!!!

They've been doing this since the beginning of time. Get over it. I sure as hell didn't see you outrage ten years ago when they were doing the sane thing. Not giving you a free Pokemon is no where close to the shitty eshop releases.

You know, I have no quarrel with there being Pokemon Variants you can only get in an event.  I get it.

I don't care about Trade and Condition Evo's.  Pokemon You have to Breed for.  It does get my goat that one of the goals is to Catch them All but, you are at the mercy of an outside the game mechanic.

There should be a way to get every Pokemon just with the two games to fill the Pokedex w/out being at the will of a Gamefreak event.

Well you can still get the reward, the event pokes aren't necessary to have the game consider your pokedex 'completed' but the game makes no effort to my knowledge to hide the fact that your still missing like 18 of them.

And the special events that are triggered are still ON THE CART. in D/P I remember using wallhack on an action replay and being able to literally just walk to the island where they put Darkrai and just go ahead and catch him. And you can do this for shaymin as well for the record.

Now you can't use this exploit to catch the arceus they put on top of the mountain but you also can't use an event to do that because they never fucking bothered to release it.

Platinum added an event regigigas that lets you open 3 special caves and obtain the three regis
And I don't think you could change rotom's form without an event

HGSS was somewhat merciful in terms of locked content event Pokemon (a silly deal with a pichu with a weird ear and a way to get the lati@s you normally couldn't (and it's the only way to get the soul dew I think in that entire gen)) but it did have some weird thing with Arceus (you could get a level 1 version of any of the three D/P/Pt mascots or something and I think it's the only way to get the orb for giratina's form changing in those games.

Probably the most insulting one is the celebi in Ilex forest event which lets you go in for some character development type stuff on the background. Now if you didn't know the Rival in gold in silver is Giovanni's son (and his only kid) and the event basically uses time travel stuff to show this stuff and explore how this relationship worked out (Spoiler: it doesn't) then lets you battle Giovanni himself.

And oblivion if you're just going to sit there and call me an entitled prick instead of offering an actual counterpoint then I'm going to politely ask you to leave.

I gotta admit, I wish more of these event Pokemon came over to the US.  I don't mind having to go to Gamestop or Target to get them, but mostly because that doesn't necessarily mean I have to buy anything.

I honestly think that's a huge reason for it.

Unfortunately, I didn't call you an entitled prick. My counterpoint is that your supposed outrage is completely pointless. There is no reason to get this worked up over a Pokemon.
