Title: Mafia LXII. AC: New Leaf, Old Feuds. Day 7. What's there to be thankful for?
Post by: Khushrenada on June 24, 2014, 01:40:02 AM
With things settling down and less chaos happening, the villagers started getting their courage back to head outdoors again and speak with their neighbors. They were all keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity. They began whispering their suspicions to each other. Punchy is always late. Tipper is always early. Kapp'n is eating turnips.
"Wait, what? Kapp'n is eating turnips?" asked Nana," I thought his favorite food was cucumbers."
The villagers all turned their eyes on Kapp'n and pixelated focused on him.
"Where'd you get the turnips?" they asked.
"Uhh, from old sow Joan," Kapp'n answered nervously.
"No one has seen Joan for over a week. Those should be rotten," replied Hamlet.
"Oh, my wee radish knows something about turnips, does he?" beamed Kapp'n. Then his face fell in realization that he just blew his cover.
"That's not Kapp'n! That's Joan!" exclaimed Tipper.
"Uh-oh. Time to go, kiddo," said Joan and she ran off to the dock and hopped in Kapp'n's boat. The villagers rushed to the dock behind her but were too late to catch her. Joan started heading southeast but remembered the shark infested waters that killed Eugene or Leif or Pokepal148 or whatever his name was and turned southwest instead. Unfortunately for Joan, she ended up sailing into the spot Crazy Redd threw KeatonTortimerCrimm whatever his name was into the sea with those cement shoes and the propeller hit the body and jammed up. A further final indignity for the former mayor. With the motor now out of commission, Joan could only sit helplessly in the boat as it slowly drifted back to shore and the crowd of angry villagers awaiting her.
Dragging her out of the boat, they pushed her up against the Cliffside and started asking her all kinds of questions. Why was she hiding? Why did she run? Why is she trying to push turnips on people? Why did the Stock market crash causing people to lose a ton of bells? Why is she the only one who can sell turnips and set the price?
While this inquisition was occurring, some of Tortimer's body washed ashore. The villagers were horrified. Joan must have killed Tortimer with the boat while he was diving, they charged.
"No! You got it all wrong! I didn't kill Tortimer. That was Crazy Redd," screamed Joan in protest.
"Crazy Redd!" exclaimed Porter, "What does he have to do with anything?"
Joan suddenly realized the mistake she made my protesting her innocence. Under great duress, she revealed how she had joined up with Crazy Redd and Antonio Katrina to help eliminate Tom Nook and his economic empire so that they could then set up shop and rule the Shangri-La market. Joan further named Saharah and Grams as co-conspirators also. At last, the existence of the Black Market Foxes mafia was laid bare before the villagers. They weren't just facing the Nook clan, they also had these opportunistic flim-flam salesmen to contend with as well.
"Tortimer ran Crazy Redd and his counterfeiting operations out of here years ago. We don't want him back," declared Kicks, "75% of the time, he sells you junk but still keeps all your money and refuses to refund or reimburse you back!"
"Sort of like Joan's turnips," sneered Digby. He then picked up one of the many thousands of turnips Joan had stored in the back of Kapp'n's boat and chucked it at Joan. "Here, here," agreed the crowd and then they also started grabbing turnips and tossing them at Joan. This is for the 45 bells I had to sell my 99 bell turnips for, yelled one villager. This is for the time I forgot which day I last went into the village and ended up choosing the wrong one thus spoiling my turnips, exclaimed another villager with the power to time travel that apparently raised no interest with anyone else.
Thus, they pelted Joan with her own turnips in anger until she died. Satisfied at having eliminated another source of evil in the village, the crowd dispersed and went to their homes.
Crazy Redd, however, upset at the fact that his operation was exposed and seeing the bloodlust from the villagers and their treatment of Joan decided he'd best not risk being seen at the moment and went to his hideout to lay low until he could further act at a better time.
The next day, the villagers awoke with a renewed sense of purpose.

Pixelated Pixies (Joan) - Voted out. Joan was a member of the Fox mafia.
Voting deadline is midnight EST. Pro-tip. You can always vote early instead of late.
Well, in two days we've gone from 15 villagers to 13. At this rate, we should be done sometime next year. :P: :
At this rate, I'm going to run out of Animal Crossing material and so I need to speed the game up.
Starting now, I will put a participation rule into effect. Every player must vote at least once every two days. Failure to comply will result in that player being eliminated. Maybe we can start jettisoning the dead weight around this game then. Or by forcing people to show up, we can get some more activity as I can not keep carrying on providing all the activity for this game.
Your Animal Crossing Comic of the day is:(http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d95/TKush/AC/comic7_zps34403fa0.png)
Today's K.K. Slider song is brought to you by K.K. Kix cereal which is brought to you by K.K. Family!
Tired of your own family? Don't have a family of your own? Perhaps you are missing a member or need to replace one? Then call K.K. Family today and we will help set you up with a brand new family or family member you'd be happy to call one of your own.
And nothing helps bring a family together like a bowl of K.K. Kix cereal. Create memories that will last a lifetime and not just because of the side effects it can cause. To help his creativity flow everyday K.K. Slider agrees there is no better aid than K.K. Kix cereal. K.K. tested. K.K. approved.
Today's activity is the.... huh? The K.K. song of the day? Oh yeah. Uh, let's choose Comrade K.K.. Good enough.
Today's activity is the Harvest Festival. (http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d95/TKush/AC/frankintro_zps86f61c58.png) The mayor has heard your cries for food and is arms are tired from shaking trees so he has brought in Franklin to coook for all you savages.
As well, I was hesitant to introduce this prize yesterday as I thought it might imbalance things but clearly no side wants to win so today's prize will be a free hit of your choice. Eliminate any player you want free of any consequence to yourself. Since no one bothered to play the deep sea diving contest yesterday, we'll just stick with that. With 30 items to choose from and 13 players, there's a good chance someone could choose correctly.

Mon Dieu! This place has gone downhill, non? Je m'excuse, I apologize but I had to take the train to another village for awhile but today I have returned. Now I find new ordinance imposed. I must point un doigt at mes amis. Ah, c'est dommage! But I am a law abiding citizen, so
Je n'accuse pas, erm, I mean Un-Vote: Dan Laser parce que, les mots hier.
Also, I have brought this lovely Red King Crab for to share. (http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20131207001600/animalcrossing/images/8/86/Redkingcrabpicture.jpg)
I hope it is more appreciated than the sea bass I offered a few days ago. Sea bass is tres delicieux. Anyone not knowing this and merely reflecting on its abundance, il est bete!

Have you heard the awful rumours that people like to eat Turkey? Can you think of anything more barbaric? Fortunately, I, Franklin, am here to help you experience something far grander and to enliven your palette so that no one here would ever think of ever cooking a turkey. Gooble goo! I'm going to do it through the wide, rich world of seafood. So.....
Ah first up is Jacques. You can always trust a frenchmen to understand fine cuisine. What have your brought me to work with?
Why, it is a Red King Crab! Oh, that is exquisite. Just to die for. This is my favorite type of seafood. I love it so much, I want to give you this cornucopia as well. You can use it as a decoration or to kill somebody with it. The choice is yours. And here, please enjoy these succulent crab legs I have cooked for you as well. Gobble gobble goo!

So, yes, Fatty the Hutt has won today's activity and can make a hit tonight. Weird. After everyone struggling to solve these contests the past few days, he gets it first try today with a big prize on the line. Maybe its my fault for choosing another animal with King in it. Sort of my theme.
Still, Franklin is here to cook all day so feel free to enjoy other seafood delights, I guess.

Villagers have a slight advantage so let's not screw this up, people!
For now, I'll vote for Fatty the Hut.

Ah, Jacques est le winner but now, he needs the protection, non? Why would you heartless fiends vote for a humble villager like me...unless you are the Mafia! Crie de Coeur!
Since Stratos was the first to jump on the wagon, in fear of Jacques's extra powers, he must secretly be the Crazy Fox! I am changing my vote.
Un-Vote: Stratos
But, eh bien, I still need the help and protection, mais oui! Fellow villagers, change the voting! Protect old Jacques! PM me with your hit requests! I will evaluate carefully...if I survive! Mon Dieu!

I was perusing the still-alive list and, sacre bleu, who did I see? Someone on the list should not be there. They should not be...at all! So now, mes amis, it is time.
Un-Vote: Lucariofan99
Why? Is it not obvious? He clearly has it coming! You all know this to be true! Aid my crusade, my friends, mes amis! Ride the Bandwagon! Make the Lucariofan downfall happen! Think of the pleasure it will bring you?
Also, paging Dr. Shrunk! Old Jacques, he needs you badly. Don't waste our Villager-won hit, my friend!

Ok great. Now, do you see how the other players are voting for someone by putting it in bold lettering? Do that and it will count. Right now, I just read that as thinking about how you will vote.
I hope everyone is enjoying this delicious food I'm cooking up for them. I'm still catching some more fish to prepare so don't worry if you're still hungry or want more.

I just realized that there was no Fox hit last night. We may have gutted their active players. It doesn't appear to state in the story if Old Kapp'n was the replacement godfather. There are only two foxes left.

Hm. . .not sure if you're really mafia or not. . .
But everyone who's stood against me has had a role detrimental to townie victory!
That being said, my only choice remains clear: vote Fatty

What is this? So many villagers outside old Jacques's window. They have the torches and the pitchforks! Zut Alors! I will speak to them from my upstairs window. Ouvre la fenetre!
"Mes Amis! Les Villageois! Mes Compatriotes! Donnez-moi vos oreilles! I am but an humble villager like you. I have been bestowed a great power. But with it comes great responsibility. L'Homme de l'araignée, he knows, eh bien?
Anyway, don't kill me. Point your fingers at someone else. Don't be fools! Don't be sheep! Do you know what sound a sheep makes in French? Well, it's pretty much the same, but a turkey says "Glou! Glou!". Isn't that fukked up? I knew you would like that one, mes amis.
So, in conclusion. Don't kill me. Vote for Lucariofan99. He is annoying and Australian. He is not like you and me. Merci

OK, OK Wait. I have this all figured out now. Old Jacques, he has been scratching the noodle, eh? He is like the Batman. He is The Detective, oui?
I was perusing the still-alive list and, sacre bleu, who did I see? Someone on the list should not be there. They should not be...at all! So now, mes amis, it is time.

Well, a hard day's work is its own reward. Gobble goo! Hmm? What's that? You all aren't feeling well? That's odd. Oh my. That is some pretty violent vomiting you seem to be experiencing there Nana. I'm sorry Bud, I don't know why you stomach feels like a thousand knives pressing to get free? Tipper! I've never seen body contortions like that before!
What's that? E-coli? Salmonella? Cross-contamination? Washing my wings before and during cooking? I'm sorry. I've never heard of any of these things before. Why... uh... why are you all looking so angry at me? Why are you all brandishing axes like that? Well, except for Kicks there. He's too busy crapping his guts out it look like. Still, I think if we all calm down. We can find a happy solution for everyone. Maybe some more fish?
*The villagers rush him at that suggestion. Franklin takes off running.*

Well, I suppose it had to end like this. Maybe it isn't too surprising in the end. I guess I'm better of cooked than cooking. I thought if I just believed in myself, I could pull it off but I guess I should have actually learned something about cooking before trying to just jump in and do it. But did they really need to stuff a duck and then chicken into me as well? I suppose their just really hungry after I caused everyone to empty all their stomach contents throughout the village. Really hope they have some kind of clean-up crew as it is starting to get a bit nasty smelling throughout. I can't say I enjoyed the fact that they left me head out of the oven so I would have to suffer very slowly but everyone says I'm getting off easy. Well, looks like the mayor is sharpening his axe and is ready to knock my block off. And for that, I thank you! Happy Harvest Fest.. *grrrkkkk*
