Nintendo revealed a new 3DS game entitled Code Name: STEAM at a developer roundtable today. It is a turn-based strategy game with "action elements" being developed by Intelligent Systems, of Advance Wars and Fire Emblem fame.
The game is set in London, England and has a "steampunk" theme with art and character designs to match, with a look inspired by American comic books. The earth has been attacked by aliens, and Abraham Lincoln has created a task force to fight against them.
In terms of gameplay, in addition to the turn-based sections there are action sequences inspired by third-person shooters. They play out on the touch screen, with the player aiming their gun using the stylus. There are four players in your squad, but the E3 demo only has two squad members as playable characters.
